Anybody else dissapointed in Sam Willams?

Yes always draft Best player available. These coaches and their pet projects reaching is what destroys a team.

McClay is VERY good at his job. He is considered top 10 if not a top 5 at his position in the league.

Remember, he doesn't make the picks. Never has, doesn't now and likely never will until Jerry is gone.

No, that would be dumb. Plus, in most drafts, there's no such thing as BPA. There are several players rated similarly for almost every draft slot.

Diggs gone

Neither is Emmitt Smith but it was still a great draft pick.

I wish Diggs had a longer run of success, but the guy made multiple pro bowls and was an all pro as well. He was a good pick.

IMO a draft can’t be assigned any grade until many years down the road. Jerry has blown smoke up our butts in the offseason for so many years. Fans buy into it EVERY year.

We see it all the time in the NFL. Sam was an ascending player until he tore his ACL and MCL during the 2024 training camp. He was never the same player.

A player being gone really doesn't matter all that much. Michael Irving is gone, but I'm glad the Cowboys picked him. Micah is gone, but they got multiple years of a high end starter and ended up with more draft capital than they spent on him.

You're thinking about the trade up for Downs.

No i'm not lol. They traded down for Micah and the Eagles and jumped the Giants who wanted Devonta Smith and then Giants traded back and grabbed Toney. I remember this very well. Cowboys wanted Micah they didn't settle for him. They wanted Horn and Surtain more.
