Anybody else dissapointed in Sam Willams?

At this point all he’s doing is taking a roster spot from someone who is younger, more potential and cheaper.
 
.....after last night Vs Saints PS game.

He's pretty much cut bait material or PS tender.

He looked tired out there and demotivated. Fighting for a spot with all avg Joe's.

$2m is fully guaranteed.

We already paid him $600k, so the remaining $1.4m would be paid out and the cowboys would eat a $2m dead cap hit.

It’s probably one of the better arguments for why he will make the team. It’s also why no team would trade for him. They would eat some or all of that guarantee.

If the contract has an offset clause, wish us by no means rare, the guaranteed amount might be set up so they actually get cap credit back against the $2m

He’s basically untradeable except in a player swap for a similarly paid, near zero value player with another team in the same author’s

It’s a sunk cost to be sure. But I don’t think you compound one mistake in paying him with another in giving him a roster spot.

He's playing against 2nd, 3rd and dudes who won't be in the NFL after this weekend and he couldn't get to the QB! Time to cut him loose!

I wouldn’t have an issue with cutting him but hearing Schottenheimer mention him by name in the fourth quarter talking about special teams makes me think it may be a done deal

In the for what it's worth department, he is only 27. And he is making peanuts this year. $2M is nothing. Less than 1% of the salary cap.
 
He been a disappointment. I was expecting him to ball out went we traded Micah. He was a JAG. I would love for us to trade him and get like a 4 or 5th round pick back lmao
 
He was playing in the fourth quarter of the final preseason game.

He is getting cut.

I’m indifferent on what they do with him.
