Anybody else hear Romo?

Oh OK, i was back and forth from the TV and the computer talking with the guys here so i must have missed that. Thanks for the info.

Actually I thought he was yelling at either Felix, Choice, or Cricket because they couldn't figure out who was suppose to be in and out on that play and cricket ran off the field then back into the huddle. Jaw's even made a mention right after the TO was called that Romo backed out of the huddle so they wouldn't get penalized. But I could be mistaken.

you are a touchy guy apparently.

don't say stupid stuff if you don't want to be called on it

romo wanted to do something, wade wanted to do something else, romo voiced it and you turned it into something you wanted it to be.

no.

i didn't

yes.yes. no it's not something i want it to be. why on earth would i want a player on my team to not respect the coach of my team?

you are the one who says he doesn't respect wade, a leap that you and others make in your head.

The reality is not one of us knows how the players really feel about wade.

Most of us don't go around pretending to.

do you want wade as the head coach? if you answer is no then it's really clear you are allowing that belief to dictate how you see the team and its coaches.

I thought it was uber-competitive. They had just gotten a bad penalty that moved them out of field goal range, and Romo had to scramble on third down. He got them close to field goal range again. Then you could hear him say, "Let's kick the field goal and put this game away..."

I loved it. I thought Romo was great for wanting to put the game away and doing everything he could to make that happen. And I thought Wade did great by doing to smart thing and playing field position and asking his defense to make a stop. Five more yards, and I thought Wade should have/would have kicked the field goal.

All in all though, that was just good football.

i want to hear it again cause, idk, when i heard it didnt sound like a "c'mon coach" voice it sounded like he was telling him that that is what he should be doing.

to me if your telling your boss how to do his job you dont respect how your boss does his job which you can infer that you dont respect your bosses ability to do his job and most likely dont respect boss.

do you agree with any of that statement?

i really have no feeling one way or the other about wade as the head coach i think he does a better job than people give him credit for and people forget he recently had us go 13-3. he still needs to prove he can win in the playoffs this year and if he gets let go i wont be too upset, if he takes us deep and we keep him i wont be too upset either.

lets be clear here i am upset with romo for what he said but because he said it im upset with wade too because if the QB doesnt respect you there is a good chance more of the team doesnt either

you all are making way too much of this singular moment of exchange between the QB and Coach.

Tony had just scrambled and turfed himself thinking hey maybe I made a play to put us in scoring range... so when he hopped up he was a little excited and said "Kick the Field Goal!".

Wade made the right choice and punted the football. That's why he's the coach and why Tony Romo is the QB. Tony prolly thought his 8 yard scramble was closer to 12 and didn't really know where the ball would be spotted.

That's all. Now get some sleep guys.

It's just a joke. He has no credibility with the team and Romo even thinking of telling a coach what to do suggests Wade is a pushover.

Didn't Romo call off the punt team in the Philly game (the blowout, last game of the year) last year? That shows right there no one cares what Wade says.

Every shot they have of him on the sideline, he looks clueless about what's going on.

It's because Wade is an embarrassing moron. He's nothing more than a DC.

Four has zero credibilty and loves tubby Wade Phillips.

Wade is like one of the guys!

guess im still new here and didnt know that guess thats why he hasnt responded good to know

lmao, don't listen to what tony shalhoub says

there is no reason to argue the point, the football field is not an office, the situations aren't and will never be similar, so applying that line of thought is pointless.

the qb also makes much more than his boss, how many offices can say that? it's not close to the same situation.

wow after all that this is what i get? if there was no reason to argue the point then why did you participate in it? thats what people say when they lose the arguement.

and if its not close to the same situation how come coachs still get to cut players that make more than them? similier to being fired for talking back to your boss?

you know what? it is the same thing it's a hierarchy just like any business.

and **** it if you dont like the business example lets go military. romo is the field general, garrett is his commanding officer, wade is the secretary of defense and jerry is commander and chief.

your field general would never tell the secretary of defense what he should do with the navy(in this case special teams)

there has to be a pecking order

I am sorry but your logic is flawed, and you refuse to even acknowledge that it's your own idea about what the relationship should be that makes you see it the way you do.

you think it should be one way, because through whatever you have experienced you formed that opinion, and as a result of that you think that is the only way to do things. That is the flaw in your argument.

There is more than one way to skin a cat, just like there is more than one way to coach a football team or QB a football team.

I talked back to my dad all the time, I still respect him. You read something into something because you do, what is there to argue?

I tried to explain it and you disregard it.

whatever, carry on.

but not one of us has any clue if any of the players on this team respect or don't respect wade, nothing else to it.

so because you talked back to your father you read nothing into romos actions toward wade. and your argument is that my logic is flawed because my experiences make me see things the way i do yet you see it the other way because of your experiences. so your logic is flawed as well. yes?

also father son relationships are not anywhere close to professional ones.

same as this game or the philly game?

why does it matter what game it is or what team it is?

Peyton Manning has done it more than a few times I'm sure, and nobody has called Tony Dungy a pushover. Romo does it twice, and people call Wade a pushover?

ignorance!
