Anybody Else Like To Check Out Opponents Message Boards On Game Week?

I like to get a feel of how opposing fans feel about the Cowboys during game week. I’ve been looking at a few Jets boards and here’s what I’ve learned.

1. They believe they will run on us and if they win it will be because of this.

2. Their defense is better than ours.

3. A lot of worry about Wilson, but many think he will do better against our D than Dak will against theirs.

4. Most believe it will be low scoring.

5. They have dissected our Giants games and believe a lot of what happened with the Giants (blocked FG, fumbles, INTs) won’t happen with them. Therefore the Giants performance being a mirage that overrated us.

6. They respect Parsons and know that he has to be slowed down.

7. They aren’t worried at all about Dak. They believe he’s going to turn the ball over a couple times.

8. They’ve been keeping up with our injuries and are well aware Cooks and Martin are iffy. They seem a little gitty about it too.

9. There are quite a few that have us winning also, but low scoring and close.

10. They worry about their O-Line. They know it’s weak and many believe Wilson won’t even throw many passes.

11. They seem to really want to trade for Cousins.

All it will do is make one feel pissed about the opinions they have of the other team on their own forum.

Some cowboys fans whole day is done if they go to a jets forum and see that a jets fan says dallas will get blown out.

I used to go to the forums years ago, but it started to no even make since in doing so anymore.

Fans have the right to say what the want on their own forums. The people that get mad about that needs a hobby.

Also them saying how what happened in the Cowboys game against the Giants (blocked punt, the fumbles/INTs). Won't happen against them. Yet the same logic can be applied as it can be said how not every team they play is going to have a QB who turns it over 4 times or who decides to loft it up for no reason like Josh Allen did against them.

I'm more likely to spy after the fact after a Cowboys victory. But other than that, it's true that a team's fanbase eats up their local media hype. The Cowboys fanbase is no different. Even worse for us is our dirty laundry happens in the national media.

usually afterwards, when i checked out the giants one that was more depressing than anything.

I do this too. They will be very upset when Dak doesn't hand them the game. I check out message boards too. But I will say that most Jets fans are realistic. But there are a scant few that are mentally challenged.

I checked on two of the Jets message boards. Delusion must run rampant in NY, but as a native Texan, I can't stand New Yorkers anyways.

Unless the Jets can pull of a Mark Sanchez type running game, they're going to get torched. People forget. Sanchez led th Jets to two AFC Championships in a row solely on defense and a run game. He sucked. So it can be done. Lamar Jackson did it in 2019 and Hurts went to last year's super bowl. These guys aren't great passers. The rely on a great D and run game. That opens up the pass.

Cousins takes a lot of abuse but he's very similar to Dak IMO. He has his moments and can hurt you, not the greatest but in the top half of the league. With a defense like the Jets have all he needs to be is a high-end bus driver.
