Anybody else like to see Harris used like Sammy Watkins was at Clemson?

I dont care if they only went for 5 yards it would be option for Romo to get the ball out quick and maybe bring safety up for PA.

He's not Sammy Watkins but yes. Get him the ball in open space with blockers in front of him.

becvause he is punt retunrs, kick returns and coverage teams, he is never going to be a big part of the offense. he is just too valuable in those rolls. they have been getting him more reps but he will always have a limited role

Harris is a playmaker who isn't used enough. One of the best returners in the NFL. He'd be a household name anywhere else.

You know they mentioned that today on Talking Cowboys. They said since this is his contract year he might decide to leave to a team that will feature him more on offense.

The pass that Romo almost got intercepted on vs the Titans was a screen to Witten. Seriously, why would we ever run a screen for Witten when we have Dunbar and Harris on the team?

Quick screens would be awesome. I'd li e him up in the backfield and have him do some screens and attack the flat. It would keep defenses honest.

You could fake pass to him to freeze defense and hand off to Murray. You can also fake hand off to Murray and fire to Harris.

This would be hard to defend, oh yeah they'd still have to try to stop Dez, Witten, Williams, and Beasley too.

Giving a guy who plays that rarely 5 screens a game doesnt seem like a recipe for success.

If you want to run some kind of option play with a screen to him vs a handoff to murray, just use dunbar. Save harris for ST. That sounds like exactly what they protected dunbar for.

Been saying that for years!!! What is Witten gonna do or has ever done on a TE screen? Better off using Hanna for TE screens

The routes they have our tight ends run are always mind boggling to me. Especially the passes in the flat and the screen passes.

Harris? how about they use Dunbar for screens and the like? Isn't that what his roster spot is for (Essentially)? Can't figure this team out....(done trying, just going with what is on the field)

I've been wondering for some time now why they haven't been using Harris on screens much. He may not have the speed of Watkins nor Dunbar but he's extremely elusive after the catch and often capable of making the first would-be-tackler miss. Seems like the staff might have figured this out by now. Could it be perhaps we're missing something? Maybe he has a tendency to take off before the catch? Gotta admit to being somewhat mystified by the Dallas offense's failure to incorporate that into their repertoire more than they have. Seems to me that he's somewhat more elusive than Dunbar, despite his speed not being as impressive. Go figure. Nobody seems to know.

Maybe 5-7 screens per game, slow down blitz and keep defense honest? guy is so good in space and is like a running back. not as fast as Sammy but explosive.

Excellent topic. Every time Harris touches the ball I feel he is a threat to take it to the house. The more involved we get him in to the offense with the bubble screens and such, the easier it will be to run the ball. Keep them off balance and allow Romo to drive this bus right into the playoffs.

harris is a beast with the ball in his hands. He could be our utility guy. Just get the ball in his hands. He runs like a running back. Breaks tackles and has great vision.
