Anybody else like to see Harris used like Sammy Watkins was at Clemson?

You know they mentioned that today on Talking Cowboys. They said since this is his contract year he might decide to leave to a team that will feature him more on offense.

The pass that Romo almost got intercepted on vs the Titans was a screen to Witten. Seriously, why would we ever run a screen for Witten when we have Dunbar and Harris on the team?

Great observation. Witten is reliable to get a completion, but his YAC leaves a lot to be desired at this point in his career.

Harris is now an unholy combination between Percy Harvin and Sammy Watkins? Just keeping track.

I wonder what WR has a good game this week that we should compare to Harris.

And Beasley is the next Welker...

They are what they are. Niche players. When you cater to niche players you pigeon hole yourself. Defenses aren't stupid. Should they each get more looks? Probably. Should either of them have specific plays drawn up for them? No. Not with all the other talent we have on offense.

With that said, I would love to see screens to ANYONE. They ran screens like crazy in the preseason and have completely abandoned them thus far in the regular season.

Maybe 5-7 screens per game, slow down blitz and keep defense honest? guy is so good in space and is like a running back. not as fast as Sammy but explosive.

What type of screen are you referring to?

Harris is both the the kick and punt returner and one of top kick and punt coverage guys. He's not going to get a lot of snaps on offense.

They did motion him into the backfield in game 1 and pitched him the ball on an outside run.

The play where the WR takes a step back and catches the ball immediately is often called a smoke screen even when it is setup without blockers. T. Williams is really good with this play when the CB is playing off.

The Cowboys used a lot of smoke screens with blockers a couple of years ago, but it's very easy to get a penalty on these plays because the blocking WR or TE can easily end up blocking before the pass has been completed which a penalty.

I know what that is but thanks, Harris could handle those plays I think and he isnt only guy to play return and limited snaps. several teams do it like Seahwaks, Falcons, 49ers, Cleveland, you know.

This is probably the week we use him on that end around we've been threatening. Especially knowing how effective Patterson was against them in the Minny game.

And that pitch to Harris was a great play. I would rather see Harris getting more touches than Dunbar because he is more versatile and he is electric in space and a heck of a lot tougher to bring down than Dunbar.

All the guy does is make plays, I would like to see him get a few more opportunities to do so.

I don't understand the dislike for Dunbar. He's not a RB that you want to use when the other team knows that it's going to be a run like in at the end of the Titans game. He has made some plays on the few snaps that he's received this season.

I don't dislike Dunbar at all. Just think Harris is the more dynamic and versatile player and is deserving of more reps.
