Couldnt care less about ESPN's football coverage, other than actually showing the game itself on MNF.

They have the worst pregame show there is now, so I rarely see any reason to watch.

Can someone tell me why people keep watching ESPN and then coming here complaining about Cowboys coverage?

Here are your choices:
Don't watch ESPN
If you do watch ESPN, have low expectations

This formula will cause you and us fewer headaches.

Thanks.

Can someone tell me why people who are irked by certain thread topics find it necessary to enter that thread and complain about it?

Probably because they feel they have the right to, just like the OP has the right to make that thread.

And I wouldn't naturally assume that everyone (the "us" reference) agrees with your chosen viewpoint either.

Thanks.

Oh, everyone has a right to express his or her thoughts. I'm just trying to help the OP and other possible OPs avoid stress. We all have enough stress in our lives, so why go looking for it? (And yes, I know, you could say I went looking for stress by opening the thread, but I'm trying to help people avoid high psychiatrist bills).

...Cowboys coverage?

So I'm watching SportsCenter yesterday and today and there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of coverage about the offense's pretty darn good (Owens-less) performance on Sunday versus the Bucs. (mind you, I am an Owens fan)

Maybe I missed it, or maybe it's the big ESPN love-fest over Favre and Brady.

BUT, I'm ok with that. After the last few years, the less media attention, the better. Just curious if it was just me or if anybody else noticed (or didn't haha):lmao:
They are all afraid of Quarterback Coach.

ESPN? For some reason I flip right past that channel when surfing! I do still watch ESPNEWS every once & awhile.

I know I've said this before, but I just don't understand why people feel slighted by what they feel is lack of coverage for their teams? ESPN covers the Cowboys as much as any NFL team IMO. We don't have a lot of drama so there is no real reason to say something every single day about the Cowboys on SC. Heck one of our biggest haters the past couple years Skipp Bayless has nothing but praise for Dallas now. He and Michael Smith both had nothing but good things to say about the Cowboys.

What is really funny to me is ESPN and Foxsports have the Cowboys ranked as #13 or less in the Power Rankings, but the guy's in Vegas willing to put millions on it are saying the Cowboys will win against the Giants by 3! Who you gonna believe?

home field is worth +3, so they're saying it's equal pretty much.

The Cowboys beat the Giants, and they become a heavy favorite. People won't ignore it. After that our schedule is pretty cake for a few weeks. Carolina, Denver, Kansas City, Atlanta, Seattle. Then we have a few tough games. Philly, Green Bay, Washington.

This team is definitely going to understand where it is by the time our schedule gets harder.

No games are cupcake games -- remember Cinci last year? I think the Giants will have it a little tougher this year because they are the media darlings, but let's face it, teams are going to get up to play the Cowboys, no matter where they are in the standings.

However, it seems that a lot of media folks haven't really mentioned us as a true contender heading into this year...and that's a very good thing.

And I certainly wouldn't look at the Carolina game as an easy one under any circumstances. Not with that running game. Yes, Cajun boy has really sucked the last two games he's played, but remember how the Panthers were playing prior to their playoff game against the Cards last year. They were heavy favorites to make it to the Super Bowl.

Same here... I haven't watched ESPN in a long time (except for MNF).

Not sure why some people here still watch that garbage...

Same here. I stopped tuning in to ESPN long ago. The only time I watch it now is if I'm in a gym or business lobby and the channel is on. Otherwise, I skip by it. I'm thinking about calling DirecTV and seeing if they will replace my channel 206 with something more entertaining, like the Quilt-Sewing Channel...
