This trio for the St. Louis Cardinals when they were NFC East, used to light the Cowboys up, especially on MNF in the 70's.... The name "Metcalf" is poison to Cowboy fans. :banghead:
Yes, the Air Coryell years. They had a great O-line those years too. The only stretch of good years for St Louis football until " The Greatest Show on Turf " Rams years.

I remember them they had some good teams in 1974 and 75. They won the NFC East both years. Terry Metcalf was super quick and fast. Reminded me a little of Mercury Morris.

When they werent playing the Cowboys they were a fun watch. Only Jim Hart was on the 1970 team that beat the Cowboys twice by a combined 58 to 7. That was Morton last year as full time starter.

Cardiac Cardinals.
St. Louis' Guard Conrad Dobler -- the dirtiest, nastiest player in the league during the 70's.
Passed away back in February.
