I sure do.

Scott Norwood missed a 47 yard field goal in the final seconds giving Parcells and the giants the win. Parcells, employing his ball-control offense, had possession for 40 minutes, 33 seconds, a Super Bowl record. And still could have lost the game. Sound familiar?

This is what to be expected from Parcells. This is how he plays the game folks. Will it still work in today's NFL? I guess time will tell. I am rooting for the guy. I hope his theory and philosophy will bring us another SB here in Dallas. But I am afraid it's not going to be a ride for those of us who are weak hearted.

But not the 1st SB the giants were in? Where Simms threw for 268 and 3 TD passes. Bill will never get confused for a coach who runs the run and shoot but he showed in NE he was very willing to put the ball up in the air. I don't think anyone can claim that Bill is that narrow minded that he will do things 1 way and 1 way only because his past does not show that.

Gibbs like Parcells had won in different ways be it John Riggins running all day long or the fun bunch coming up big in the passing game. I think both men look at what they have and try to use a system they feel best fits what they have on hand today

I would be all for it, if he wanted to draft a young QB and air it out. But right now with the peices we have in place, he is playing a possession game. That is why he have had so many close games that could have went either way in the outcome.

Now if we would have had a decent kicker we may be still be playing now. But the games we are playing just remind me of his last superbowl win. A hold your breathe, say your prayers, close your eyes, and hope for the best.

Hard to open it up and air it out when you can't get protection up front. I don't think Bill is finished with the product yet. We have built up our defense and I think that will be a big help as we start to focus on offense which I believe we will see in this years draft and FA pickups.

I hope your right. But even after that I still think we will still have our fair share of close games. After all he is a defense minded coach, so his approach on offesne is going to be conservative and time of possession.

I remember his last Super Bowl win. The game where Parcells kept the most explosive offense in the league on the sideline, the same offense that torched the Raiders for 51 in the AFC Title Game. The Giants held that offense to 19 points, won the game with less talent. Sure I remember. I also remember Parcells offering this famous quote after being asked if the win validated his style of football: "Our style didn't need validation, theirs did."
A great coaching performance imho.

We may have our share of close games but I think as this defense gains experiance we will see more turn over, shorter fields to work with and more points on the board. I don't think you need to be a pass happy offense to win I think blance is the way to go with a good defense. That is what I loved about the Cowboys of the 90's we ran the ball and we ran a lot after all Emmitt was seeing season where he ran the ball 300 time or more but we also had a very good passing game and great defense as well. It did not look conservative because those guys actually executed the game plan.

No not really because he basically just stated the point I was trying to make. Parcells managed to keep them off the field by possession but still could have lost the game.

Which is what our season was consisted of. Possession and games being decided in the fourth quarter.

Sorry Kojak, but I've seen multiple people try to play off BP's WB wins as flukes because of "wide right".

I'm sure the the other folks who have commented thought it was the same thing again. Sorry if it was misunderstood.

I am not bashing Parcells!

The possession game is what he plays. I uderstand that and I also understand if we had a decent kicker we might still be playing. I have already stated this. I even stated I am rooting for the guy.

I am also stating with what he have in place, these are the type of games we should get used too.
