Anybody wonder what crawled up JG behind today?

What a game these Cowboys played today but here's some things I noticed about the Offense:

- Bennett gets some key catches and finally gets involved in the passing game.

- Choice going up the seem on a big 3rd down conversion.

- Romo scrambles instead of throwing it away.

Add any other notes you saw from the game.

Garrett called a good game, but this is all about the arrival of Miles Austin.

Garrett did what he's done consistently since becoming the OC, put guys in position to make plays.

And yet another "fan", who rather than enjoy a rather impressive win, has to take shots at the team...

"What crawled up JG behind today"?? Nothing, really; the Boys averaged 7.0 yards per play today, against a season average of 6.9 yards per play going into the game... they gained 414 yards offensively, against a season average of 420.4 goig into the game... so it would seem like a rather average offensive performance by the Boys, a rather average game for Garrett...

I've said it before, I'll say it again-- anybody who thinks that Jason Garrett is doing anything less than a superlative job as offensive coorinator this season is a card-carrying MORON... the Boys are averaging 419.3 yards per game through games this year, an average that would have led the league last year... they're averaging 26.5 points per game this year, an average that would have 5th in the NFL last year...

If you're not satisfied with that kind of production, your standards are so ridiculously high as to be completely asinine...

The whole team did great today. Everyone made plays. Nice day by the team as a whole.

I wasn't trying to down JG, and for the record you are the first one to resort to name calling so I see that you can't keep your emotions out of the post. I'm just wondering why it took this long for some the above notes to happen. How many plays have you seen a RB run right up the seam for a pass?

I think Garrett called a beautiful game but all I want to know is why did it take this long?

This is all very true. To be fair, there have been struggles in the red zone in recent games which have limited the 'Boys ability to turn yards into points. Today, they got 10 points from their 2 trips into the red zone, pretty good against an excellent red zone defense - that was nice to see.

It's not all about stats. How many times must we say this?

The criticism of Jason Garrett isn't that he racks up eye-popping stats. Rather, it's that he sometimes doesn't understand the ebb and flow of the game and when it's best to run the ball and in what situations.

This team could be 6-0 AND HAVE THE STATS if not for some bone-headed play calling.

It's easy to get giddy after a game like this. But in tough games where we need to run the ball instead of flinging it, will Garrett understand the game situation and respond accordingly? The win today doesn't elevate that concern. It merely postpones it.

He's got the weapons now. He's got all the RB's healthy. He's got somebody (Miles) who he hadn't been counting on. Garrett's looking like 2007 because we're healthy.

Like we were in 2007. Let's enjoy it while it lasts. I know he is.

I don't know, seems like we are still lacking an identity. We have 3 healthy backs, yet Romo throws all over the place today. Maybe its a good problem to have, but it really seems like Romo and the offense need to get into a grove, whether it is running or passing the ball. Would still like to see some passes to Jones in space.

As much as I'm happy about this win today, I won't be satisfied until our Offensive Line stops making stupid plays week after week after week.

On a positive note, sacking Ryan 4x when he hasn't been sacked in the last 4 1/2 games says a lot about our pass rush.

When plays work, the coordinator is great. If they dont work, he is a bum. These are the same plays, more weapons on the field now.

Atlanta lost their best CB last week for the year. If anything I give Garrett credit for finally going after the other team's weakness.
