Anyone buy an iPad 2?

Someone stole the floor (electronically attached) Xoom at my local Bestbuy. :laugh2:

I wanted to check it out, but no dice. They too were sold out.

Hey, I have no dogs in this. I own/have owned three generations of Touches, numerous iPod Classics, an iPad, my kid uses an Air...Apple makes a nice product. I was well prepared to buy an iPad 2, but the prospect of tablet built for Honeycomb and vice versa kept me in check.

And I'm glad it did because the Xoom (and Honeycomb, natch) is just so superior...it's really not even a fair fight. Though they're both "tablets," one is curated to the point of suffocation and one really shows where the tablet market will be headed in the future. Anyone who says different is just whistling through the graveyard.

Hopefully, Best Buy can replace the one that was stolen (heh) and you can get a chance to mess around with it. It really is a breathtaking device.

I had ordered my iPad2 online and received it late last week.

It is absolute, unadulterated awesomeness!

Just scratching the surface with it so far, but I'm extremely impressed so far.

I haven't looked at it yet, but my son only puts it down when he goes to school, baseball practice, or playing basketball.

YOU have allowed an iPad to enter into your house, let alone allowed your son to be led astray by the evils of Mr. Jobs???? You're being too easy on that boy nyc. Next thing you know he'll be covered in tats and piercing's.

I don't force my beliefs on my family preventing them from being happy and getting what they want. If that is what he wants, he can have it. Although, I did lay down the law when he was talking about getting a Michael Vick jersey. That **** wasn't happening. He did end up getting a DeSean Jackson jersey in which I want to puke every time I see it.
