Every team is dealing with adversity already this year when it comes to injuries
This. The biggest damage is to lose a QB. That makes the worst hit teams so far Jets and Bengals. Burrow's calf doesn't seem to want to heal.

-Lions lost their best db to ACL...their best WR and primary RB already ailing
-Ravens have 8 players out right now
-Browns lost their best tackle to ACL
-Fins w/out Ramsey for most of season
-Cooper Kupp, Ekeler, Saquon Barkley missing notable time

Sucks. Mourn for a day, and then saddle up.

This Diggs injury has killed my happiness for the season. We had a stacked squad and looked prime to do something special. Dallas sports are cursed man.
I’m sorry for Travon Diggs and his teammates but not us as fans. I believe the Cowboys will be fine because the thing that separates really good teams from great teams is the ability to overcome all obstacles. This team can be great. Overcoming the loss of Diggs is a test to see what this team really is- good or great.

Btw…just for history. Even the all time great ‘85 bears defense lost two starters during that championship season. And still won it all. The teams who overcome are the real great ones.

Apparently, the TNF crew now has Dallas dropping out of it all after Diggs injury. They talked about looking ahead to WK 13 the iggles SF game and said Dallas doesn't matter now. Hilarious.

I'm sad that we may have lost our shot of being an all-time defense, but hopefully we're past the point where losing one player derails our season.

Its a major bummer for sure , Diggs was a key component in this championship caliber defense. But hopefully the boys overcome adversaries .

On SF-Giants thread...see some posts rooting for McCarrfery to get hurt.

Maybe if our fans stopped rooting for other players to get injured (as they did rigjt b4 the Overshown injury)...karma wouldn't come back and bite us.

Maybe if we rooted for ALL players to stay healthy....ours would too.

Just a thought.
Karma doesn't exist.

Karma? How did karma bite us?

I just smashed my TV in front of 30 guests at my party because of the injury. My wife just took our crying kids and said they’re all spending the week at a hotel. This injury has ruined my life and my party. I can’t handle this anymore. Goodbye Cowboys. I am no longer a fan.
Overreact much?

Why? The 85 bears all time great defense lost two starters that year. Losing Diggs doesn’t mean we can’t win it all. Great teams overcome their injuries. Big Mac‘s SB win in 2010 included a ton of injuries to the pack and they found a way.

That's why I said "may." It doesn't necessarily mean we won't have an all-time great defense this year, but certainly puts that in doubt. The '85 Bears were in a different NFL, where you could stack talent because there was no salary cap. McCarthy's 2010 SB win definitely shows that us finding a way to win is a possibility, but we may have to do it without having a defense as good as it looked like it was going to be through the first two weeks.

Hasn't killed all my joy of the season but took a big chunk - keeps reminding me that there is no reason to be excited about this team during the regular season, only thing that matters is going to happen in Jan and they will likely lose enough of the pieces that they would need to win and will fall short.

Just reality, it's the negative feelings this stuff brings on when it's been this long and thos snakebit ....Diggs isn't the last this year either for this team
