Anyone else have no problem shelling out 3 million per for Vinatieri?

I'm gonna be pissed if we'll spend record money for a freaking kicker but Jerry couldn't pony up for either LeCharles Bentley or Steve Hutchinson.

Pay him, I have no problem with it.

I think Jerry needs to get real here.

In todays NFL there are going to be a lot of games that come down to your kicker, maybe as many as 6 games, could be more if you are a playoff team.

If next year is anything like last year IMO AV is worth 3-6 wins.

Jerry would you pay $3 million to have those games in the win column?

I know you would.

I have No problem with it. I'm sure it has a big deal to do with it not being my money.

Actually, I wouldn't want to pay a kicker that much- what's to say he wouldn't come here and suck- that's what most players do in free agency.

vinatieri would add years to my life. i'm soooooooo tired of the drama-inducing 35-yard FG attempts.

his KO's are merely gravy on the biscuit.

Why don't we just get an old, country mule to kick for us. And if he misses, somebody muzzle that jackass on the sideline.......

He is worth it just to bypass the loss of momentum the team goes through when Cundiff/Cortez misses.

The whole team seems to sink on those misses

Jerry, I'd imagine.

I dont know about that. Its worth a couple of extra millions to extend your season past 16 games.... for the next couple of years...... no?

I have a problem paying a kicker 3 million a year...we didn't just win the super bowl, nor do I think a 3 million dollar kicker will get us there, despite all the 20/20 logic regarding last year.

That said, IF he's in Parcells' plan, then so be it....all we heard was that BP and JJ had a plan, a solid, comprehensive plan, and that they were ready to do what they wanted in FA....so I'm assuming that hasn't changed despite the fact that we're not pouring huge money into a couple of big name players.

As I've said in every other thread, Kozier will be on our starting OL, probably at LG...good bye LA, and good luck because only the Cowboys would be silly enough to even consider paying you more than 3-4 million for what you can't do any more.
