Anyone else scared of a letdown next week?

I truly believe the complacency is gone this time.

I think the Boys are gonna come out Sunday night with one goal in mind.

Take care of business.

It'll probably be a close game, but I don't think you're going to see a repeat of that first game in Dallas.

We as fans can be cocky about this game.

I guarentee you the players arn't.

They arn't even CLOSE to wrapping things up. They know what they have to do and no way they come out lazy next Sunday.

They'll take care of business. Washington sucks.

KNowing that POS franchise I bet they folded for the Giants just to try and ruin our playoff hopes. Watch them come out playing the best Football all year.

I hate the Commanders.

If we lose to the Skins next week, Wade should be fired at the end of the season no matter what else happens. There is no way they should be able to play with us.

I'm not scared of a letdown. If they have a letdown in a must win game why would I be scared? That's their fault and they deserve it. The only thing that should be going through their minds is beating the Skins like the Giants just did. 45-14

They probably will. Still won't matter, though.

I'm really not worried that our guys will show up for this one. If they lose, they know that their playoff chances take a huge hit and the Philly game might not even matter at that point. There's no way they're overlooking this one. No way.

Many people are going to come in this thread and laugh at me and point to tonights game and I fully understand your stance. However, the Skins always play well against us. Dallas is also coming off a very emotional win, many times a letdown fellows. After watching this Skins game tonight, this is probably the worst thing we could have hoped for.

I am not sitting here saying a letdown is a certainty by any means. I am just saying it is a possibility. It just seems like everything is adding up that way. A Skins win tonight would have made me feel much better about next week. Are the Skins really going to play this horrendously again? Again, I am not suggesting a letdown is going to happen, I am just saying I am scared it may.

This is pretty simple actually.

If they let down, they weren't who we thought they were.

Win out and make the play-offs.

Split and you have to rely on Minny beating the Giants.

It's pretty cut and dried.

If we get beat by that joke of a franchise, then we dont deserve to go to the playoffs. Seriously, that Skins team tonight was an embarrassment to the league.

Sorry Wade, but if you lose to the freaking Skins you are gone.

A little. That was a huge emotional win and there is the chance we could take the Commanders lightly since they looked deplorable last night.

Matt Millen said it best though when he stated that the Commanders will be approaching this game to legitimize their season.

They were embarassed last night and look like they gave up on Zorn. But with the Bruce Allen issue this week, it is easy to see they would be distracted and Zorn lost whatever thin shred of credibility he had.

After this week, I think it will sink in and the Commanders will come out and try to prove themselves for their own professional pride.

In fact, Zorn might even get fired today and Blache takes over. It would not shock me at all.

Yes, it would surprise me.

Folks, the Commanders are just not a good football team. I believe they will hang around early but I just don't see them being able to put up enough points to beat the Cowboys.

I think they had 3 yards of Offense with about 11 minutes played in the 1st Quarter or something like that.

The Cowboys must not lose this game.

I'm not scared of anything the Cowboys do or don't do. I quit being emotional about the Cowboys years ago. If they play well enough to win, fine; if not, they don't deserve to make the playoffs and we wait again until next year.

It is Jerry Jones' problem to solve, not mine. I no longer worry about millionaire players or billionaire owners. My job is to enjoy watching the games with equanimity, win or lose.

Before the Cowboys ever came into existence I was a football fan and then I became an ardent Cowboys fan but over the last 15 year have evolved back into a football fan. I enjoy watching the games but it makes little or no difference to me whether the Cowboys win or lose.

If they don't play well enough to win, screw 'em, I couldn't care less.

Win or lose, life is good.

Something is very wrong with you.

Being mentally healthy and a Cowboys fan do not go together.

Or Carolina. That game is not a gimme for the Giants. I still think the Giants are not that good and the Commanders put no effort last night making it look like the Giants are back. They aren't.

The Giants can still score points, over 30 in back to back games. That is not something that can be ignored.

I agree. I will say that was the best I have seen from Carolina last Sun. Night all season long. They are out of it but still came out to play and to win.

Not scared, because it's just a football game, and as has been mentioned previously in this thread, if we can't go into Washington and beat a 10 loss team , then we sure as hell aren't going to win a playoff game even if we do get in.

That being said, I fully expect us to have our first rout of the season. The way the offense played in NO was no fluke. I think we're going to stomp them.

We'd be idiots to think we'll just waltz in there and come away with an easy win. Now that could happen, but I wouldn't take it for granted that the Commanders just mailed it in for the year based on one game. They played real good football for the last month prior to this game. And with this being against their hated rival and chance to play spoiler I think they'll give us a game.

They can still give up a lot of points too. They were averaging about 32 points a game given up since starting the season 5-0. That is not something that can be ignored. Washington gave up last night. I don't expect Carolina to do that.

It will be tough.
Anyone that says otherwise is deluding themselves.
The Skins will throw everything at us on Sunday.

We'd better be ready for a flurry of haymakers.
If we can withstand the flurry, then I think we will gain control and win the game.
But the longer we keep them in it.....the tougher it'll get.
The Commanders have no pressure....just pride. We're still desperate. All pressure is on us....however, we should be more focused, confident, and motivated.
And, we still have more talent. That, in the end, should lead us.

Agreed. Jason Campbell played sooooo bad that he will be locked in... even if its only for one game. We have a knack for making these guys look like Joe Montana.

Lets just flat out destroy.

That is a major concern. That is also a pattern of years past. While I believe this team is better than that... they dont always show it. SHOW ME. That is ALL I ask.

Can't happen, we're already locked in.

Hey Danny - how is it going.... Your sig is not only great...it sums up the current state(fans mindset) of the Dallas Cowboys.
