Anyone else think Carolina take Dareus?

you are frightened of SF lol..I am not so certain SF is going to move up at all for Peterson..if he falls, he falls..but what do I know? you could be right

Wouldnt you if you were them? Especially w/ the Cowboys and Texans breathing down their necks.

Just like the Dez trade last year. Go get the guy and as soon as he steps on the field you wont care what it took to trade up

Number pick in the draft is as much about selling tickets as anything. I expect Darius to have a good carrer, better than Newton. He is not gonna get people excited to buy tickets though, and he is not going to get people to buy jerseys.

......with Rivera being the coach there now, you know he's drooling over Darius. Newton is an imbecile but a talented one....reminds me so much of Demarcus Russell of the Raiders it isn't even funny.

I dont know that you would. But if they pick him, they'll regret it and need to replace the mistake in 3 seasons or less.
Okay...again, not sure why I should care.

I just havent heard anything about SF moving up..not that that matters at all..but its why it hasnt crossed my mind much..i also think SF is more interested in moving down..too many holes

Newton is going #1. Football isn't just about winning games, it's about marketing a product.

The Panthers already have a solid fanbase with good attendance, but they want someone who will encourage 12 year olds to talk their parents into buying their jersey. Are they going to want to wear the number of some DT or the Heisman-winning QB?

If they're going to cut a $50 million signing bonus, it's going to be for the guy lining up behind center.

Maybe, but did you watch any Lions games last year?

I live in Atlanta and work in a sports store and we sold a ton of Suh jerseys this year.

.....I live in Michigan and this guy is ONE BAD MOFO. He sniffs around the pocket and the QB just bolts like a gazelle running from a Lion. I swear this young man has some Randy White in him....yeah, I said it.........

If you dont care, dont read it. And it certainly wouldnt make sense to respond twice.

Casserly made the right decision passing Bush for Mario williams. Will Hurnley have the same stones and pass Newton for Dareus?
