Anyone else think Romo should stand 1-2 yards deeper in the shotgun?

Romo is 2 for 2 with horrible snaps. 1 first down incredible scoop and run, and a near outstanding catch by TO had he timed his jump better, and the 1st down.

This play sort of works. Let's keep it in the play book. ;)

Make that 3 for 3, Gurode did it twice yesterday and Romo threw it to TO for the first down..

How can you be 2 for 2 when one of those plays yesterday resulted in an Int?

If Romo stands any deeper, he'll be able to catch Gurode's snaps on their way back down to earth.

John Fitzgerald and Tom Rafferty had great deep snaps in the Shotgun.

Were Fitzgerald and Rafferty part of the four Irishmen and a Scot line?

Yes. Then Rafferty filled in for Fitz at times too.

I think we should line up Barber about 5 yards behind Romo everytime in the shotgun. Kinda like when you do a kneel down. Just in case something goes horribly wrong.

Haha...direct snap to the RB...we could run a flea-flicker off that formation.

It's either do that or scoot up to about a foot off of Gurode's rear-end and catch it on its way up. :D

Or maybe, just scoot a foot up Gurode's rear-end until he gets it fixed.

I also think moving Romo back would change the timing of the routes.

No, Gurode should have to sign a contract to stop snapping too high or else he's out. If I were coaching him, he'd be snapping that ball all practice until he learned how to do it properly.

I had the same thoughts about possibly moving Romo back an extra yd or 2. Not exactly sure why Gurode can't get this corrected. It's like the gang who couldn't shoot straight

If anything he has to move closer... catch the ball before is gets high in its trajectory

That play is now called the Romo Shuffle

Actually he's 2/4 , so he's 50%. He would've been 75% had TO timed his jump a little better. :D
