Anyone else worried about the eagles D?

The Eagles scratched defensive end Victor Abiamiri (wrist) and wide receiver Kevin Curtis (hernia). Wide receiver Reggie Brown will be a gametime decision. He's questionable with a hamstring. Safety Sean Considine (hand) and defensive tackle Dan Klecko (hand) are probable.

IMO they need to worry about our defense

Bingo!!! This will be the suprise of the game, our D. They will be tough and get after McChunky all game long while our secondary blankets their recievers. Look for some BIG HITS in the secondary from Roy and Hamlin too..

This is true. And most seem to forget that they scored a billion points against the Rams last year too, and Kevin Curtis looked like a friggin' MVP of the league. Where did it get them? A one-way ticket to their couches when the playoffs started.

Who cares? The Rams sucked then. The Rams suck now. I'm supposed to be worried about this lame *** crew of receivers? :LOL

I nominate this post as post of the day.

Divisional games are always tough and the Eagles seem to have our number at home. I think it's going to be a tough game and a good test for our offense. I am looking foward to it.

I'm always worried about divisional games. But the eagles are always a pain in the behind as of late. They just know how to counter Dallas. And yes I know we torched them for 30+ last season but for the most part they are always up to play and play us harder then any other NFC East rival IMO.

They have Litto, brown and Asante. That is one heck of a Secondary anyone who doesnt see that is crazy. witten is going to have to play big in order for us to win and Our running game is gonna have to step up. We'll really get tos ee if Romo improved his game this offseason. He will have to be patient and go through the reads as fast and best as possible. because knowing their Defensive C they will bring the heat!.

I hope We just dismantle them, but my gut feeling is it will be a darn tough game that might come down to a last minute drive.

They could have 3 Deion Sanders clones back there doesn't matter if they don't get any pressure on Romo.

Bingo! Frankly-I'm SICK and TIRED of losing to the Eagles. They're 6-3 at TX Stadium under McReid. That '00 season opener massacre was painful, that '04 Mon night massacre wasn't as painful b/c we stunk, but nonetheless an embarrassment, and that '06 xmas day massacre is by far my worst Eagles loss.

I hope we can get some payback this time around.

That's why i'm worried. They have our number and if We are really going to win a Sb or do anything in the playoffs, we need to take care of the division. Starting Monday We need to smack them in the mouth and end this eagles confidence in texas Stadium.

what type of talent where we trotting out to play them???? We should have beat them last year but Gurode and Romo got hurt so I'm not even close to being worried.

I want to see it...I want to see the Eagles humiliated in texas Stadium.

Put up or shut up...Do you agree?

Well I don't know if we "should have" won last year, but there's not a doubt in my mind that we'll take this go-a-round. If anything I'd be more concerned about the way our defense is going to match up to their offense. Our offense will score. It all depends on how they answer back.

Our offensive stats for the first game last year....

Passing CP/AT YDS TD INT
T. Romo 20/25 324 3 1
Rushing ATT YDS TD LG

J. Jones 13 57 1 15
M. Barber 16 56 1 16
B. Johnson 3 -3 0 -1
Receiving REC YDS TD LG
T. Owens 10 174 1 45
J. Witten 3 77 1 53
M. Barber 3 50 0 22
J. Jones 3 22 0 11
T. Curtis 1 1 1 1

For the second game...

Passing CP/AT YDS TD INT

T. Romo 13/36 214 0 3
Rushing ATT YDS TD LG
M. Barber 7 32 0 11
T. Romo 2 15 0 16
J. Jones 6 6 0 5
Receiving REC YDS TD LG
J. Witten 8 113 0 53
P. Crayton 2 54 0 41
T. Owens 2 37 0 19
A. Fasano 1 10 0 10

Obviously, there is a drastic difference between the two games statistically speaking. Same players, way different results. That points to one thing: Coaching. I think we were simply out-coached last year in the second game. Owens was all but eliminated. You can say that Romo's thumb was a major reason, but what happened to the running game? 13 total rushes for our running backs is absolutely ridiculous. Therefor, we must do a better job coaching and controlling the game clock. We obviously have the better talent, but the coaches need to put it all together.

The rivalry is very unpredictable. We embarrassed them in 2005 at Texas Stadium and I didn't expect that. Hope to see a repeat of that game.:starspin I think this will be a test for our defense to defend the mobility of McNabb. If we can hurry him, he'll get rattled and than he will turn into Favre by either throwing it away or throwing it into the ground (which he did repeatedly last week but scoring 38 points offset that).

The game Phily beat us at home last December, Romo was playing with a sprained thumb in his throwing hand, suffered midway in the game. Center Gurode left in the 3rd quarter too. Canty also. We just need Gurode and the line to stay healthy, and run the ball. Something we didn't do. Romo was pass happy in that game. I think we are gonna use Felix alot, and Phily will have to decide when they blitz how they will cover him. I just hope Barber is ready and can withstand the pain in his ribs. Hope he wears padding or something.

Gurode was hurt on a passing play in the third quarter. After trainers tended to him on the field and then on the sideline for several minutes, Gurode limped to the locker room for X-rays.

Cowboys defensive end Chris Canty also left with a left knee injury after a teammate rolled on his leg at end of a play in the third quarter. Canty said he would be fine, a message echoed by team officials.

A Cowboys medical source told ESPN that Dallas quarterback Tony Romo sustained a sprained thumb on his throwing hand, and it was heavily wrapped after the game. X-rays were negative and Romo, who didn't miss a play after getting hurt in the "middle of the game'', said he was OK.
