Anyone Expecting Anything From Alarcon at Tackle?

He is from all evidence a very good athlete but just not a football player

..problem is, he's just a big fella, thats all. What can he bring to the table in terms of skill and talent?

I think, thats what were waiting to see.

I think he’ll get a shot at the practice squad in hopes of a rotational player in 24. He has intriguing size and athleticism and could be a contributor at some point for a cheap price. A player worth developing.

I agree with most of us - he's a PS player and maybe he makes a USFL team, and maybe we bring him back if he has a great season there. Otherwise, his career is over.

I think, if he's smart, he would go play in the USFL, XFL, or CFL. Sometimes, playing in a league like that can be a good way to show your skillset in a full season. Plus, game reps are among the best ways to develop.

Yeah but imagine when he goes back Mexico afterwards. He's got a birds nest on the ground ! Down there , He's American football Royalty. Dallas has a direct pipeline to all

Of the Future Mexican Football Talent. Jerry Jones is a genius when it comes to tapping under utilized Markets. No Lose situation for all parties involved.

The guys in camp more often then Vasher the often talked about camp WR . After three yrs you can’t crack the code bye

Honestly, I can't call it. Guy is big and athletic; there's no doubt about that. I just never saw him as an offensive lineman.

He's actually more intriguing to me as a defensive tackle since I've seen him play offensive tackle. I've never seen him play on the defense, so I guess we'll see. I personally don't know much about Alarcon's football background, so any input on that would be appreciated.
No!

Nothing actually, but would love the surprise, but just not going to happen.
He grabbed nearly a million just by being a part of this franchise for 3 years, good Job for the kid.
He made some mad cash quickly, but the transition to DL with limited snap counts, just can't see it happening for him.

The Cowboys just have enough talent for offensive tackle and depth at present, that will need game film and time on carpet.
If Alrcon could play T, we'd find a way to keep him there. Ts don't grow in trees.

Camp fodder
He’s been really good at it and has never cost us a roster spot
