Anyone figured out Crayton yet?

I can't tell what Parcells is upset about with him. I have listened to all the press conferences and Crayton has issues about staying focussed and consistent I guess.

that's it, he's not the fastest guy, so he always has to be in top condition in order to seperate, apparently his work ethic isn't up to snuff

Crayton should be in the slot everytime we play a good pass rushing/blitzing team. You can snap the ball and throw it to his back shoulder in single coverage on a hot route and I bet good money that he will make the grab 70% of the time or more. We don't use him appropriately.

If we could block any one with out using every TE we have on the roster, I think we would see himin the slot more often. You are right he would make a great weapon against the blitz.

It wouldn't matter. You snap the ball, turn and throw it. You get the ball out within 2 seconds, before the blitz can get there. Watch AZ's game last night. It's what Leinart did over and over and over.

We're talking about unblocked players coming in, too. That's the point. They're going to blitz more than we have, and guys are going to get free. You get the ball out ASAP to a hot read though, and they WILL pay for it.

I disagree that Crayton lacks desire. He fights hard for extra yardage, usually to the point that I'm afraid he puts the ball at risk too often.

Yeah well, I agree. That's my biggest issue. He doesn't anticipate the blitz and when it comes, he doesn't seek a hot receiver.

Now, I cannot believe that we don't have a hot read everytime he is in there - our coaches can't be that dumb. I just don't think he finds it. He sees the blitz and hangs on instead of throws. Most frustrating. QB. Ever.
