I didn't even know that we offiicially sent him an offer yet. I thought it was just a rumor that we would sign him to an offer sheet.
We're probably waiting to see what happens with Hutchinson yet.

Nice sig.

No reports on an offer made.

Don't know why but I see Vanderjagt being our kicker next year. I would prefer Brown over everyone.

Vanderjagt hasn't received much interest so his price is dropping. maybe with the money we save not have to outbid Seattle for Brown we can use for Petersen.

I'm sure we wait until the appeal hearing on the Hutchinson contract on Monday. If Seattle matches on Hutch, we'll make an offer. If they don't match there is no point to making the offer as they'll have plenty of cap space to match on Brown.

Although I understand your post, I wonder if the Cowboys will be willing to wait a week, and take a chance that Vandy or Vinnie signs elsewhere and then we could loose out on all three?

Vanderjagt only kicks the field goals, in Indy they had another guy do the kickoffs so I don't think BP would be too fond of bringing in Vanderjagt and the having to use another roster spot for someone else to kickoff.

we've waited 2 weeks already. you have to wait a week on an RFA - that's just how it works

Is there harm in making an offer even if they don't match Hutchisons offer sheet? Just offer them the maximum amount we're willing to pay, if they agree to match it doesn't hurt us much.

Do you have a link to the Hutchinson appeal story...I can't seem to find anything on it. I'm sure it has to do with the convertion to guarnteed money but I would like to get a few details on it for a discussion I'm having with a friend.

I don't see why we don't make an offer and then let them decide which one they will match (assuming they can't match both) this forces their hand a little bit.
