Anyone Have Analysis on Terrence Steele’s Preseason?

At work and not able to do any type of deep dive but would be clutch if someone had some gamefilm based analysis. Steele was bad last year but was a UDFA with extremely difficult offseason circumstances and no weight program.

By many accounts he’s worked hard to improve his body and game but I want to at least see some preseason footage to back that up. What’s weird is I watched every snap of preseason ball and don’t recall his name being called too much, which is hopefully a good thing. But then again I had my eyes on rookies and defense.

I did not do any detailed analysis, but from what I saw of him in the preseason games he was pretty awful, worse than last year. That's scary considering he was facing mostly backups and scrubs.

Jerry says they will give him lots of help, whatever that means.

No one is going to question why the guy they signed to be the backup tackle is not getting the job?

He wasn't going up against guys like Joey Bosa in preseason, so does it really matter?
Well yes in regards to technique and strength improvement. More about how he looked and less about his matchups.

I still would like to see Conner Williams out there. (2 years ago)

It means they're going to limit what they can do offensively helping out a stiff RT who shouldn't be on the field instead of sliding Martin out there and this not being an issue whatsoever.

Eye test in the pre-season games, he still struggled badly in pass protection.

I found some film to show his progress:

Chip, chip, chip and when in doubt chip!

So Martin who hasn't practiced at RT at all this summer would have no issue whatsoever blocking Joey Bosa?

Martin, with not a single snap at RT all summer will step in and be an infinitely better RT than a stiff like Steele and they won't have to help him in the scheme to do it. So your offense won't be limited. Correct.

That's not what you posted. But even if Martin was at RT, they better give him some help with some TE chips. It would be dumb not to.
