Anyone have the clip of Newman running down Randy Moss from behind? (Post#34)

No more name calling and no more grammar lessons.

If you don't want to deciper what the guy is saying, then put him on ignore.

Mam yes Mam

:)

IF I recall correctly Moss caught the pass on a slant or out and was turning up field... I believe Newman was already at a sprint trying to chase him down.

I also think Moss had some hamstring issue at that point in the season.

Not to sound like I'm defending Randy's Speed.. But he wasnt at a dead sprint like TNew was. The probably have the same speed anyway.

I posted the same request on *another* board, Rack, and I promptly was lectured on how Randy was "banged up" because nobody could possibly catch Moss from behind without something being wrong with him.

Truth is, he pulled his hammy later in the year. This was only the third game of the year. Newman just flat walked him down.

(And BTW, I have that game taped somewhere, I just don't know how to upload it.)

Rack this wouldn't have anything to do with a certain bills message board would it ;)

:wink2:

I have the game on dvd.......I have no idea how to get that play off of it though

One thing we have going for us in the Pats game is Roy. I have seen Roy get into Randy's head a few times... his long lanky frame is perfect for Roy to tee off on... I think in the Raider game he popped him pretty good and Randy went invisible for the 2nd half. Randy's a different player in NE however. We'll see how it goes.

He did... I remember the play.

I remember that play, however Moss will normally win that race 9 outta 10 times.......imho

Why is that? Both Moss and Newman are fast. Sometimes the guy carrying the ball is not as fast as the guy chasing him because he does not get to use his arms as much to generate speed. Maybe 5 out of 10.

Why wouldn't Newman beat Moss? Some fans ascribe Godlike qualities to Moss, but the truth is that Newman is faster. It's that simple.

Nice...

Man that makes me want to puke but gets me pumped about Newman at the same time.

God, I'm glad Bill isn't here anymore. Ware lined up over Moss? LOL. Keith Davis playing deep zones? Oh my.

Absolutely correct. Newman has world class speed. Some of his track times in college are amazing.

I got no problems with Ware, but you are right about Davis. Oakland ran that same formation a few more times in the game and Ware lined up across from Moss a few more times. Ware was able to bump Moss the rest of time unlike that play where Moss got a clean release. Ware has done some pretty good things playing out in space. I like how he chucks the receivers and tight ends.
