Anyone have the video of Ware's "offsides"?

Sorry guys-but the reason why we lost was b/c we weren't ready to play. Dunno if it was the Cancun trip, dunno if it was the assistants interviewing for other jobs, dunno if our player personnel(i.e. Reeves and Akin) finally got exposed, dunno if we just had no heart in the 2nd half, dunno if the lack of a true leader on the field was finally exposed, dunno if our lack of disciplined was exposed...dunno.

Bottom line-championship teams come out crisp and sharp in these kinds of games, we didn't. I mean OVER 10 penalties?!? The Giants, OTOH, had very FEW.

I hope we can correct alot of these things by next year.

I don't fault the refs on that one since it so close.

I do fault Jerry and Wade for not addressing this issue with the refs and the league office over and over again - every ref needs to be reminded to watch for this in our games -- the league office needs to get film on it so they can alert the refs to Ware's uncanny timing.

You do that and Ware starts getting the benefit of the doubt

It is possible that it has been addressed and Demarcus Ware doesn't receive the benefit of the doubt.

O give me a break. the penalties are what the refs decide to call. calling Ware offsides, lead to the first giants touchdown.the 15 yards facemask on Reeves was a joke too. that should have been a 5 yarder.
and the grounding call on Romo was sickening.the giants get all the freaking calls on our home field. and you tell me the refs did not help them win this game. give me a freaking break!

A 15 yarder means the guy's head was SPUN around, which is exactly what happened.

That's why you rarely see that 5 yard variety, it's almost impossible to grab hold of someone's facemask without hardly doing anything else to it.

You are right the only call that was questionable was the off-sides the others were legit.

I completely agree about the Ware offsides BS call, but aren't we going a little overboard here?

If anything, with an extra week to prepare for a division rival in a playoff game, I'm SHOCKED we didn't come out and make a STATEMENT, we played nowhere near that level.

The refs could have blown every call in the book against us, but there was no excuse to not come out flat and emotionless. After that Jacobs TD, it seemed like the entire team just quit.

To make a track analogy, What Ware is doing is "jumping" the snap in a way that might not be actually offsides. I used to try and do this out of the blocks in track by studying the starter and getting a feel for his cadence and going when I anticipated the gun to go off. When you hit it right its almost never caught and you have a millisecond head start that is huge.

Ware appears to be jumping a snap count. He literally is in motion in those pictures before ball is snapped yet it is not clear at all if he had yet crossed line. But that millisecond head start gives him a huge jump and the appearance of being offsides when he really is not.

I think Ware studying film has figured out what the Center QB do right at point they are going to snap and he goes.

Watch Ellis and Ware get hands to the face and no penalty on the original play, though the one on Ellis wasn't quite like Ware's.

Thank you!

I saw it live at the game and knew it wasn't offsides. There's no excuse for the refs to continually screw up what SHOULD be an easy call to NOT make.

The NFL sent Ware and the Cowboys a letter acknowledging that he was in fact NOT offsides when they called it on him in the Packers game.

Perhaps the league will talk to the refs and let them know that he's a freak and should get the benefit of the doubt in such cases. :)

Jerry needs to push hard for them to fix this in the Competition Committee meetings this year.

I mean what they're doing is diminishing Ware's greatness. He was robbed of about 4 sacks this year just because the idiot refs are getting it wrong. Just imagine how many sacks he's gonna get screwed out of over the ocurse of his career due to bad calls if they don't fix this thing.

I'm a big Celtic fan and last year when Al Jefferson was being called for unwarranted travelling violations by the refs the team sent in tape to the league to point out that Jefferson just had very unorthodox footwork which gave the appearance that he was travelling. Why can't Jerry and Wade do the same over the offseason so we can nip this crap in the bud in time for next year?

Wow after watching the "Reply" vid he beat the snap but only moved cause the center was in the process of hiking the ball very very slowly...

Appears the center has a hitch in his snap. He has ball high then appears to lower it and then snap it. You can see Ware in motion and ball barely moved. Center appears to have a hitch and slow snap that Ware jumped some giving appearance of offsides.

I'm surprised Ratliff never slapped the ball out of his hands with that style of hiking..

Offsides clearly needs to be a reviewable call.

those pictures show why its almost unreviewable to me, but i guess you could argue on potential blatant miscalls.

this one was very, very close

Seriously-first, we make a bunch of threads how Wade blew it, yet again, with his playoff preparation/coaching, and we want him fired. Now...we're making separate threads how the refs blew it for us??

Which is it? You can't have it both ways.

The biggest tragedy is that it negated a good play by Reeves, who doesn't come up with many of them.
