Show me a WR that came into the NFL and substantially improved his hands.
Keyshaun Johnson comes to mind.
And typically i would say 3 to 4 years on a WR especially a WR from a small school.
The ability to get seperation is the most difficult and important ability a WR can get in the NFL. He has got that and to just throw it away becaseu your impatient is folly.
Concentration and technique issues can be helped by repetition and study. To say that a player cannot improve his hands is ludicrous. if he catches 200 balls a day, you do not think that would help?
