Saw on another board that ESPN reported he may have a broken neck. I haven't seen anything else confirming it.

I've been watching ESPN all morning and have heard nothing about a broken neck. FWIW.

During the recap, they did make note of the hit, and said it should have been a penalty....

I can't imagine him having broken neck and continue to play after that hit.

You can't be serious right? Crayton would not have been put back into the game with a "broken neck". The hit was vicious but not severe enough to that pont...

I have not seen or heard anything also, but after seeing that hit, I would not be surprised. I hope he is O.K.

If he had a broken neck do you really think he would still be in the game playing after that hit? Come on.

It's very possible to break your neck and not know it. My old man broke his neck doing a flip on a slalom ski, got right back up and did another flip before realizing something was wrong.

That being said, i doubt there is much to this rumor...like I said, been watching ESPN, and they havent' reported it on TV.

That happened in the 1st quarter and he played the rest of the game with no apparent side affects. I find it impossible to believe that you could break your neck in the 1st quarter of an NFL game and continue to playe the entire game without showing any affects at all.

Until a media outlet reports anything, this is pure bs.

These are my thoughts. He continued to play on both offense and PR and so I doubt, very seriously, that he broke his neck in any way.

That was a total cheapshot buy Fletcher. I like London, but that was a total cheapshot and could have really hurt Crayton. I suspect he will be getting a fedex in the mail this week.

Actually, that's not as far-fetched as you think... I once broke my neck in a pickup football game, got clotheslined on a punt return... finished the game, in fact I didn't learn I'd broken my neck until some 20 years later, when I had a head and neck X-ray series taken for an entirely unrelated problem... all I knew was I couldn't turn my head more than about 2 inches in either direction the next day, and it was very sore for about 2-3 weeks...

True story...

Perhaps the poster on the other board misheard the ESPN talking heads, who said something like that kind of hit could have broken his neck... I seem to recall hearing something like that on SportsCenter...

There was a guy for the Raiders, Monte Johnson a linebacker, he played in that famous Ghost to the Post playoff game against Baltimore in 1977 with a broken neck. He continued to play in the game not knowing he had a broken neck.

Yeah he sure will be getting an invoice from the NFL... I was shocked that they didn't call a flag on that play... just unreal
