Earlier this season he was speaking nothing but negativity about Dez, I haven't heard anything from him recently. Has he jumped on the band wagon or is he still holding to his original course?

Dez could go 10 for 200 3 td and drop 1 ball and Pearson would be all over him.

Pearson just needs to shut his mouth. While he was a great WR, he cannot match Dez re physicality, speed and power.

Actually on Sunday night, Drew said he needed to give credit where credit was due.

Said Dez has been playing real well.

He's given him lots of praise the last few weeks as Dez has turned it around. IIRC he said he's our best player on offense now.

Personally, i couldn't care less what Drew has to say one way or another.

At this point, he's just a guy who likes to hear himself talk..

Dude I get that DP is tough on the Boys but DP was pure money when it came to crunch time catches. He knew his routes/plays and with exception to Fred Belitnekoff, ran the best pass routes in football. He also went over the middle with the real assasins in the secondary and no help from the rule changes. No he was not the strongest nor fastest but probably the most effective possession WR in DC history.

Who the bitter old guy? Who wish he had the talent of Dez?

Haven't seen him.

Not quite yet - Romo is still the man and he has done it for many years whereas Bryant has only been playing at a high level for a month.

If he stays clean and works hard he could be the best player on the team by next year, though.

Funny how fans turn on the greats of this team from history because those greats say something that hurts the feeling of the fan.

Drew was right back then, and is right now.

It's only broadcast throughout the media of its negative.

What is with the constant bashing of Pearson?

Do people even realize he is on the espn pre and post game and the NBC 5 sports show on Sunday's?

Most people here just read the cherry picked comments on Dez from writers who are looking for attention.

He has always been complimentary of this team and has been lately about dez.

Drew Pearson belongs in the Hall of Fame. He was the BEST receiver on the Boys in the 70s and his numbers are better than Lynn Swann's (who is in the hall). He has the right to criticize Dez whenever he wants (he simply tells the truth....sometimes good, sometimes bad), particularly as Dez wears Drew's 88. All the bashers out there that say he is jealous are idiots.

Maybe, just maybe---it is someone not stuffing the "cheese" down every players throat, helped that player get his head on straight and get things going.

Some players can handle the daily does of how great they are......some cant

I agree. I hope Dez has turned the corner but he's only played great for a month. Drew is one of the Cowboy all time greats. Dez hasn't done anything yet.

what's up with you guys always dissing our legends....you know the ones who actually won SUPER BOWLS here?

Some either aren't aware or forget that Drew Pearson made the key block on Tony Dorsett's 99 yard TD run.

I'm wondering if those who are dogging Pearson for speaking his mind grew up and watched him play. He came into the NFL as undrafted free agent and ended up in the Cowboys ROH. Next to Roger Staubach he was the most important player on the great Cowboys 70's teams. Staubach would have probably never become the legend he did without Drew Pearson. He was on the receiving end of Staubach's greatest play. Pearson made a name out of a chump like Clint Longley.

The greatest game of Danny Whites career was a result of 2 late TD's from Drew Pearson vs Atlanta in the 1980 playoffs. Had Pearson been wearing a tear-away jersey the 81 NFC title game wouldn't be known for "The Catch." There was no greater "clutch" receiver than Drew Pearson Dez should listen to a player like him.
