maybe they should just make it a rule to not make top of chain changes until after the SB. For any team. That means that BP shouldn't have been hired until Feb 4, or Billick couldn't be fired until Feb. 4

You might try sending an email to Bud Selig. Just make sure you sign it SportsExpert.

Which is precisely why NO ONE should be interviewed until after the Super Bowl is over. Who cares if it gives those other teams less time to prepare with their new coach? That's their problem. Why should the good teams suffer because the bad teams have to rebuild?
At one time, the 'boys were a bad team. Would you have been ok with Jerry waiting almost two months just to be able to interview a coach? Not me. Get 'em in, spend a few hours with 'em, and send them on their way.

The NFL doesn't use e-mail for this. Write to them at...

NFL Office of the Commissioner
280 Park Avenue
New York, NY 10017

Yep, and his letter will promptly find its way to a trash bin.

Actually the rule says you can approach playoff teams with a bye
before this Sunday.

You can bypass the league office and send that letter to it's ultimate destination:

West 59th Street
Manhattan

This is where all of the paper waste is recyled in the city of New York.

Not that it would do an ounce of good but the fans of playoff teams (not just the Cowboys) need to voice their displeasures with the timing of interviews in the middle of the playoff.

I really think it messes with the integrity of the game. The league can not say for a fact that Garrett's interviw on Friday will not have an effect at all on the the outcome of our first playoff game. I'm not necesarily saying it will effect the outcome but anyway you twist it it effects the integrity of the game. THe season is over in a month. The off-season begins. Interviews can take place then.

Who knows, the time off Garrett uses for his interview on Friday may have been the exact time he had an "ah-ha" moment reviewing film.

This is not sound policy by the league at all and I'm very surprised it's allowed.

Miami and Atlanta can begin their interview process with candidates of teams that are out of the playoffs and conduct interviews with coaches in the playoffs after the playoffs.

This really sucks.... I checked NFL.com and there is no corporate contact email. Only for IS issues with the web site.... If anyone knows, i's be in debt. Thanks!

You are 100% correct in your thoughts. It should not be allowed. And it does "mess" with a team and their playoff chances.

So, you got some flack, don't worry about it. You are right on the money.

The really sad part of all of this is that coaches are like the players, you are an army of one, you have to spend half your time watching out for yourself and the other half working. Owners don't have any loyalty, neither do players or coaches, seen owners fire them in a heartbeat. I mean look at Miami, they give the guy and his staff one year, that's lame, but yet its the way it is. People hate Rosenhaus but yet he is just trying to protect his players back, something nobody else does..

This is a very intelligent post. A post with thought about what is wrong with our world right now.

I remember even 5 years ago things were never this way.

Ugly, mean people. Jealous, greedy, no thought.

So, what is there to say??? Stupid comments from stupid people. It is just EVERYWHERE.

So, for me, I am an old fart. I still have the thoughts of how things used to be.

Football has become a business. It is supposed to be a game.

And this applies to our daily lives. Manufacturing down. Imagine if we had to actually manufacture anything to survive.

Brats rule. Reality will soon arrive.
