Anyone know if Parcells going to Senior Bowl.....

So the folks who think he should go to the senior bowl are actually arguing for a less productive off-season -- and Ireland and BP would be duplicating work rather than working on different fronts.

ya see. BP going to the senior bowl is stupid.
 
BP will let our scouting dept take care of it......Jeff Ireland is great scout for new talent.

Maybe those guys don't trust their staffs. The suggestion that BP is slacking though is pretty laughable -- you can slam various aspects of his coaching if you like but it is off-base to suggest he isn't working hard enough.

hmm, so is it Bills evaluation of players might not be as great as everyone claims and it's actually Ireland that should get the credit or perhaps it is Bill and Ireland sucks?

Either way, yeah I'm saying Bill is slacking.. He has been slacking since year 2. Why is teams like the Patriots have amazing drafts year after year? Could it be that even in the middle of a superbowl run you could find their assistants and Little Bill at these "worthless" event's like the Senior Bowl?

I'm sorry, but if it's my team and these are the guys I'm going to choose to go to battle with I want to be there and if I'm the owner paying these guys, I want my head coach there.

Piss poor decision on Bills part again.

I wouldn't go that far. I wouldn't mind that much if Bill went. In fact I'd like to see him duplicate as much as possible last offseason, even down to eating the same breakfast cereal every morning as he did last year.

But I think there is a lot going on right now replacing coaches and from of the info bites we got in the coaching articles it sounds like the team is charting out offensive/defensive changes for next year.

I'd far rather he be at Valley Ranch sketching up new blitz packages then at the Senior Bowl right now, as long as he has the trust in Ireland....

When did Ireland get the promotion last year ? I thought it was after the senoir bowl last year, or late in the off season ? Can't quite remember.

Yeah, after the Senior Bowl. I think late March or early April IIRC.

You might be confusing scouting with player evaluation. scouting involves more than just watching guys practice. that is one part -- and one part that BP clearly trusts his staff to do.

Coaches' evaluation doesn't necessarily involve directly scouting players -- it is his job to take the evaluations of his scouting staff, assistants, and even the owner and come up with his own evaluation.

NFL Network is showing Senior Bowl practices this week at 3 cen. to 4:30 cen. time this week. Its on right now but it looks like they are mainly talking about the players today.
 
i can set at home and read what everyone did in practice at the sr bowl. not to mention it's all on tape as is every game these guys have played.all the sr bowl gives you is a sence of the guys and see how he interacts with his teammates. everything else you can watch on film

but since they are playing with a new set of guys that doesn't really say much either. it isn't like getting to watch a team's practice.

Amazing. The Senior Bowl hasn't even been held yet, & unless I've been in a coma the past few days, neither has the draft. So, we don't know whether Parcells actually is or isn't going to the Senior Bowl. (And, um, does Belichick go to the Senior Bowl, or does he trust his scouts?) And the draft hasn't been held yet, but somehow you've determined that ours will be bad? Wow--I know Parcells gets slammed a lot, but now he's even getting slammed for future events that haven't even happened.

Can you predict this week's Powerball, please? It's up to $115 million.

Coaches and scouts go to the practices of the Senior Bowl too. There is a practice on right now(nfl network) and BP didn't go according to Mick.

1) it has been determined Parcells is not going or there
2) Belichick has been seen there and was pictured on NFL Network to prove it
3) I'd like to see where I have determined this draft will be bad. My exact quote please

Disappointed Parcells not going. Hope it's because he has lot more confidence in Ireland, who also played key role in last year's draft.
