I kinid of figured that those rumors would start popping up after it was rumored he might lose his job if they didn't make the Super Bowl this year...that was before the Pats game yesterday.

Intriguing, but I'd rather hire a younger coach.

He doesn't deserve the blame for the Chargers loss yesterday, however his career playoff record is pretty bad.

I was listening to Mike & Mike, and they were talking to Mike Ditka. They talked a bit about Schotty, and how he might get canned, but I didn't hear any mention of Schotty coming to Dallas though.

I don't see how it could be anything more than media speculation at this point anyway.

I know most will react by saying "NO" to the idea of Marty in Dallas, but Marty is a great HC who is simply snake bit. He wins everywhere he goes and he is a positive personality/force in the organization. I look at him like Cowher who finally got the monkey off his back last year. If Marty sticks around I believe he is bound to finally get the monkey off his back.

I truly believe that if Snyder hadn't gotten caught up in his romance for Spurrier and he would have allowed Marty to finish the job in Washington the Skins would have been a force. In fact, Marty says the best coaching job he ever did was the 8-8 season in D.C. when they finished the season with that long winning streak.

Not that he would be my first choice, but if it happened, I would not be unhappy at all to replace Parcells with Schottenheimer.

Beast would take Marty ball in a nano-second over manboobs. Marty is an excellent coach, just has had some bad breaks in the playoffs. They should have won if not for a fluke play. (alot of that going around these days).

I would much rather go 14-2 and get beat on a fluke play than drop 4 out of 5 in mostly blowouts before getting beat on a fluke play.

If Tuna comes back it is going to be one depressing offseason, do you really think anything is going to change?

more likely that we add wade phillips as the DC and eventual bp successor.

schotty is about 100; like parcells.

Marty is a great coach, and I still regret our team ever letting him go.

With that said, wasnt it pretty sure that Tuna was coming back next year? I thought i read an article somewhere that said it was a pretty sure deal?

Wade is not going to leave one DC job for another. Having said that he might be a good choice for HC of our beloved 'Boys. He understands the 3-4 as well as anyone in the league. The only problem I saw was that his bolts didn't look much better than our D once the o-line adjusted. Did anyone else see how the great merriman and the rest of the dline were just stoned for the final 3 quarters??

Well, though they didn't necessarily get the sacks, they got good pressure on Brady. And they forced him into several interceptions.

I was impressed with their defense all in all.

See why Jerry isn't so unhappy with Bill waiting?

Billick, Shotzy, maybe even Holmgren -- all on thin ice.
