Anyone listening to local radio here? I want to hang myself

Seriously, are the fans who call the stations the biggest idiots? Are they all really as foolish as they sound and is this why the radio shows are geared toward catering to them?

Norm hitzges is absolutely awful this morning, the fans calling are just as bad as they were last sunday night and it is the same way on the fan.

THere have to be some fans out there who are not tools right? I have grown so tired of listening to the same generic arguments and the same fans calling up and asking for people to be fired and removed.

Norm must not watch alot of football on sunday's, I am convinced now more than ever he just reads stats sheets and forms opinions. He comes on the air today and said a defensive coordinator in the league told him this week Dallas has a 2 and 3 3's at wr. Why bring this argument up again. And by the way the DC is Jim Bates, that is norms friend.

sorry for ranting. I just wish instead of crying about everything and calling radio stations and firing everyone maybe this city could rally around the team and nevermind the extreme stuff.

like I said earlier, pass me some rope I cant take much more of it.

It's amazing that with all those average recievers that we are #2 in total offense in the league. If we don't give the Giants the game last week we are 2-0 and none of this talk is even heard.

Yankees fans are actually worse. And so is the ny market.

its just frustrating to me.

oh and sure, no love for the stars huh!!!!
it might frustrate you but NY local fans & writers (all sports) are widely considered quite knowledgeable about the game than anywhere else.

sorry.

but they're not a bunch of excuse makers. they see thru BS like jerry sells and wade shovels.

if the cowboys were a NY team jerry the GM would be crucified and community pressure alone would eliminate many of jerry's stupid moves.

ps - our WRs are mediocre we have no #1 WR ( #82 is our #1 "wr")

the ny media is not smart. They have fallen for steinbrenner's crap for years.

I am from ny. I spent my whole life reading ny papers, listening to ny radio, watching ny shows.

Its no better than anywhere else. I happen to think they have some of the worst personally.

Let's move them to New York, then, because GM Jerry NEVER gets railed in the Dallas media!!!!!!

How should a rational fan conduct himself, in your opinion?

"Whenever I'm about to do something, I think "Would an idiot do that?" And if they would, I do not do that thing."

lol.

either you have COMPLETELY selective memory or just an unreliable ability to recall said memories.

"fallen for steinbrenner's crap" is absurd. i mean the locals took on and finally got Isiah Thomas fired by his idol J. Dolan. Newspapers & talk radio aren't marketing extensions of local teams.

and while guys like Mike F. on WFAN are blowhards catering to dopes waiting on the phone for hours to make a point the fanbase sees thru BS. Five minutes of "talking cowboys" or whatever makes you want to go get a lobotomy. Even steinbrenner's YES network had for several years a co-host who hated the yankees & did nothing but rip into them 5 hours a day. LOL try that in jerry's kingdom.

Did not bother me at all.

I just don't get why people get so riled up at something that happens quite a bit with cowboy fans, and fans of other teams and would rather listen to it and complain about it rather than to just turn it off.

If it really bothers you that much, don't listen to it. It is how the media is now days and not just sports media. Hoopla, doom and gloom and if it bleeds it leads is the norm now. I doubt it changes any time soon because they know that normal, calm and logic does not get the ratings or reactions.

Yep, and the sad part is that the majority of people out there take what the media says as gospel. Entire world views are changed with the stroke of a pen and creative liberties with the truth.

I get upset just like Theebs about all this but had to realize that turning it off is the only thing that will keep me from getting so pissed off about it.

I wouldnt know. I can't even listen to the radio, watch highlights or other football games when the cowboys lose. I shut down until the next game.

I really dont count the blue star media as media that covers the team.

I dont really want to get into this right now, maybe this week if you want in the off topic forum.

Meh, couldn't care less about hockey. With the speed and the contact it's probably a sport I would've loved, but I can't get into any sport that I didn't play as a kid.

Oh, and I've said many times I think Norm has just gone downhill, sadly. I used to listen to him every day on KLIF and I don't remember him having so many out-there opinions. Maybe he did and it was just that there weren't the thousand sports talk shows to compare him to, but I really remember him being a lot more reasonable back then.

But back to your point, I was thinking the same thing, that Monday night games should be good in that fans have all day Sunday to actually watch other teams and notice that they all make mistakes that so many think are unique to our team. But it never seems to work that way. :(

hockey is the best with American football close behind and then college bball right behind football

Baseball is so far down the list for me it hardly exists.
