Anyone man enough to admit they jumped off the bandwagon

Anyone care to man up and admit they did? I know I almost did on this given week and reading the forum there were 100's on board. That was the KC week.

We came in 2-2 and I beileve we just lost to Denver. KC had been horrible the whole year and had a new coach with alot of injuries. My thinking was if we were going to be a playoff team then we have to come in and win the game handly. That was far from the case. We had about and don't quote me 13 pentalies for like 137 yards maybe(guessing) and had some instances where we had two defensive offsides in a row, multiple false starts and the old hold or hands to the face calls. On top of this we turned the ball over a few times one of which Crayton fumbled a punt. We kept running Marion Barber who looked like he was running a 7.2 40 that game for about 2 yards a run and played alot of one reciever sets. Every time Choice was in he made things happen. He had a 40 yard td run and in overtime had a nice run.

So going into that overtime period I did not know if I wanted us to win or lose. After how 07 and 08 seasons ended and showing the same mistakes that has haunted us since the Wade Phillps era over and over and over again, I was thinking maybe if we lose Jerry would fire Wade and staff and maybe we could turn this thing around taking one step back to move two steps ahead. At the same time I did not want to give up on the season after 5 weeks. That game was tough.

One other thing to keep in mind was our offensive struggles up to that point. Against Carliona I beileve we scored 10 points(Newman had a pick doesn't count), against Denver I think we scored 10 again and against KC I think we scored 3 points in the first half. I'm sure many can remember the frustration. Did anyone jump last year?????

I would rather **** broken glass than consider rooting for a Cowboys team to lose any game. The concept offends me. To even consider wanting your team to lose after only four games is disgusting. You should look at yourself in the mirror and consider what kind of fan you really aren't.

There have been some losing seasons when securing a better draft position seemed more valuable (long-term) than managing to win an extra regular season game (during a losing season).

But I always prefer wins to losses.

I never said I wanted them to lose. The thought came into my head after that pitful display that day with all the things in the past(07 season, 08 season, scoring 10 points back to back weeks and at that time the wheels going backwards rather than forwards) that if we lost this game would that improve us in the long run with Wade and staff possibly getting canned. It was about us getting better not bailing on our team. Remember, I said I didnt want to give up on the season 5 weeks in also.

Ill ask you this if we lost that game and Jerry was mad and fired Wade and Jason and hired say Ray Sherman as interim coach. Say Ray turned things around and was lightining in the bottle and we won the Superbowl last year. Would you take the loss to KC then? Or, would you take the loss to Minnesota and a win against KC. That's the point I was trying to make. Remember don't think of the state of the team now, think of the state of the team going into that week vs KC to.

Me either. In fact I cannot conceive of any reason why I would EVER hope my team would lose a game. That just seems to be the antithesis of being a fan.

I guess if you are into fantasy football enough or a draft nut you might find some reason to justify it in your mind but it doesn't compute for me.

That thought never cross my mind. i just couldnt believe it was happening. I do believe that was Romo's defiining moment. I felt he put the team on his back. He ever wavered and show leadership. That's what I took away from the KC game add the emergence of Miles, A!

Look won't criticize your way of being a fan. Everyone is who they are and it's just a sport. But, I just don't get it.. I cannot imagine ever wantingbthe cowboys to lose. I love victory. Sure, draft madness is fun. But, I am in this admittedly stupid waste of time that all sports or really any entertainment is for the juice of seeing my favorite team win. That's it. I am heartbroken at every loss. Why would I wish that on myself for a little better opportunity to roll the dice in a three day 90% snooze fest. In other word I hear u but it does not compute

The only time I can remember not wanting the team to win was at the very end of the 88 season and it basically was the Troy Aikman sweepstakes. If I remember correctly, us and Green Bay were tied for the worst record and we got the 1st pick off coin flip.

If we would have won our last game, we would have lost Aikman.

This. It was the one time I remember hoping that Dallas would lose so that we could draft Troy. The cast of QBs we had at the time were going to keep us in the cellar for a loooong time.

Anyway, I've been a fan for 32 years now and in all that time I have NEVER under any circumstances considered how a loss could be a good thing. I take the losses very hard.

Way to early in the season to give up. That there says a lot about your knowledge of football and faith in our beloved Cowboys. By the way, they won the East!

One time and one time only have I wanted our Boys two lose and that was previously stated back in "88" in the Troy Aikman derby with Green Bay. Boy I'm glad we didn't end up with Manderich or however his name is spelled!

I don't have to I never leave the wagon. Until we are out of the running in any given season I continue to hold out hope. When Dallas was sitting at 2-2 of course I was concerned but never gave up on this team.

Hell no. I was at that KC game and it was clear we were the better team. The problem was we were our own worst enemy. Jump the bandwagon? Please!!!
