I was a big Bledsoe supporter, thought it was a great move to bring him in and I have argued for him since I have been on this board. I was against replacing him with Romo and have since come on and admitted I was wrong.
I am giddy over the success of Romo, but I don't think that I am wrong for still admiring Bledsoe, and the job he has done since he has been here. I have never argued against those who said he was a statue, my argument has always been with Bledsoe you know what you are going to get. I feel for the guy since he has lost his job with three seperate franchises but I also think that he ought to look at hanging em up. He had a nice career, but after going back and watching some of his games this year, he seems to be gun shy, reverting back to holding the ball too long, and at times, seems to freeze in fear of the big hit rather than looking down the field.
There comes a time in any long-term professionals life when he needs to take a hard and honest look at their production. You see it all the time in Boxing. Roy Jones Jr. used to be the most dominant boxer around. He got old and ended up looking like a chump before he finally quit fighting. I don't want to see Bledsoe at 40 like we did Testaverde. Call it a career and spend some time with the family.

there's a difference from a belief and a blind madness.
i believed we had to draft high to have a chance at qb. i believed a FA walk on had potential, sure, but not much of a chance. what i never believed was that bledsoe had a chance. i just don't feel parcells set him up to have a good one, but maybe he did set him up with what any other qb could have gotten by with.
i gotta swallow some personal pride on parcells. he did it to start romo, i'll do it to think maybe he was right all along.
i'm one of the ones on record as saying parcells would never win a playoff game as a cowboys coach.
well, that was with bledsoe at qb and him unwilling to change backing that.
he changed, and look what it's done for the team. it's a great thing but even the romo/parcells supporters could not draw up a "valid" plan to go from nowhere to a 110 qb rating and dating jessica simpson.
this is a fairy tale team and anything *can* happen now.
now i think this team can beat anyone - anywhere.
the only change is 1 player and again, not even in wild dreams do you "do this". you temper it with reality and we've not had to do that yet.
it's coming, i'm sure. it has to. "nothing gold can stay".
bledsoe could never have gotten us here.
his "fans" have probably just realized that and while it's got to suck, it's great for cowboys fans and hopefully this board so we can get back to team talk and not bledsoe talk.
i love it when the qb controversies are over.
