anyone notice a serious lack of drewpies?

just wondering. for awhile we were inundated with posters who came in here only because of bledsoe and now, they're simply gone.

those of us who've griped about our team are still here and hoping (like the rest of us) the dream ends nicely and will probably still argue among fans - but the super-duper-drew-crew is dead.

hell, that makes about as happy about our future as anything else these days. : )

good to look forward to the games again and hopefully, good to talk football among *cowboy* fans again.
Just like the Church of Vinny guys they've retreated to the hole they came out of. Quite an amazing 3 year phenomenon. The fans of the 2 QBs had some amazing similarities.

1. They were basically renting their place as Cowboys fans but demanded respect instead of simply earning it.

2. They took anything negative said about the player personally as if they had a personal relationship with that player. I could excuse this for a family member. None of these people were family. Once they felt you were anti-their guy, the stupidity heightened to the point some would get banned.

3. They continued to post on a previous non-private forum, and bashed the fans of this team over there.

About the only difference between the Church of Vinny guys and the Drewpies, was that with the Drewpies we also were forced to deal with the anti-Drewpies. They weren't satisified to keep their ignorance jousts on their own forums, they felt we wanted to see them too.

Good riddance.

I think they all left because they're ticked off that the offensive line started to play better when Romo became the starter.

It's a sad day. The retiring of a legend.

It would have been a lot easier to simply put Bledsoe, given what we saw of his footwork, inside of one of those revolving doors with you know who.

I was a big Bledsoe supporter, thought it was a great move to bring him in and I have argued for him since I have been on this board. I was against replacing him with Romo and have since come on and admitted I was wrong.

I am giddy over the success of Romo, but I don't think that I am wrong for still admiring Bledsoe, and the job he has done since he has been here. I have never argued against those who said he was a statue, my argument has always been with Bledsoe you know what you are going to get. I feel for the guy since he has lost his job with three seperate franchises but I also think that he ought to look at hanging em up. He had a nice career, but after going back and watching some of his games this year, he seems to be gun shy, reverting back to holding the ball too long, and at times, seems to freeze in fear of the big hit rather than looking down the field.

There comes a time in any long-term professionals life when he needs to take a hard and honest look at their production. You see it all the time in Boxing. Roy Jones Jr. used to be the most dominant boxer around. He got old and ended up looking like a chump before he finally quit fighting. I don't want to see Bledsoe at 40 like we did Testaverde. Call it a career and spend some time with the family.

Jon

My feelings exactly.

I have found when an annoying group of trolls leave that I do not normally ask why...I am just thankful they left.

Or as an old Motley Crue song goes...

"Girl don't go away mad, Girl just go away"

For the record, I was for Romo starting since week one. There was no doubting what he did this pre-season. Parcells rocked my world when he started Bledsoe. Then I came to this board and got rocked even harder for steadfastly calling Drew every name in the book. (bush league but I was pissed) Some might remember such charming references as Bledslug, Bledslow, Bleedslow, Bledsnail, Dreg, Statue, Thinker, etc etc...

Even though BP finally realized what he should have done weeks later a part of me is still pissed Romo didn't start week one. Woulkda coulda shoulda... blah blah blah.. I know about that. However, there's no doubt Romo would have done this much earlier and have us sitting at the very least 8-3 right now.

In retrospect, I don't mind having taken the constant ribbing from the Drewpies those first few weeks of the season. Even though they didn't want to hear me at least the Tuna found something within that propelled him to make the switch. Better late than never I guess.

I remember reading somewhere that BP did not start Romo at the beginning of the season for fear that Bledsoe would retire since he did not want to be a backup and that would leave BP without a backup and then what would he do if Romo got hurt? I don't recall if that was a news report or an opinion.

Not to be content with the success of the team that we ALL pull for as cowboy fans, Board members have to put down and constantly spit on those that didnt think Romo would be totally awesome. Not that the Romo crowd thought any different, they just chose a horse and got lucky. But no, the constant back-patting continues.

"You know who" hedged his bet by being both pro-Romo and pro-Bledsoe.
