Anyone notice Brad Sham's lack of enthusiasm?

Let me start off by saying the man is iconic. A true professional at what he does. But watching the nfl weekly replay with radio play by play, I can't help but notice his lack of "enthusiasm" during big plays for the Cowboys. He seems to get really excited by the oppositions huge plays, but not ours. I watched the NYJ and NO game afterwards, and the play by play was so more exciting. Just me nit picking, but does anyone else notice this?

I heard him call the Philly game on the radio, which was my first experience with him since I live in VA. I thought he did a very good job and I liked hearing the game called from a more informed and bias POV. He seemed jubilant enough.

I truley enjoy his calls. But being a little over the top during game winning td's wouldn't hurt either.

Its called professionalism. :D If he wasn't so professional he would be featured on another radio station's homer-call-of-the-week segment.

I have.

He's got the same tone of a guy watching Finding Nemo with his kids for the 1000th time.

He's seen this crap before.

He is not buying into all the BS from Jerry anymore, and that is obvious with his sardonic tones about the run game, I have listened to both him and Babe the last five weeks, not quite to the Dale Hanson level but inching closer every game with there level of disgust for the offense. Christy Scales is still fresh as ever and very informative with her sideline observations

I've said this for years, but he's not very good on PBP on Cowboys games. Strange to say about a near-legend, but it's true. I know what you mean about the odd low tone sometimes on big plays, but that's not the only thing. He also simply doesn't do a very good job of describing what's happening on the field, which is his first duty as a radio PBP man.

The odd thing is that if you ever hear him do other games -- he'll do the occasional college bowl game -- he's very good at describing everything. I've always wondered if he doesn't get so comfortable with his surroundings at Cowboys games with Babe and everyone that he gets a little lax or something. Sometimes it's like he and Babe are two old friends casually watching a game and maybe he almost gets too comfortable in that setting.

I kinda like the way that he's not over the top, but when I listen to sports talk radio I don't like all the non sports talk either.

New blood never hurt.
Bring in someone younger and more enthusiastic.Once I went into the kitchen to prepare a lava cake and I heard the vikings make a TD and BS's voice was so enthusiastic I thot the Cowboys were scoring. But I was wrong.

I want new announcing blood!
Out with the tired and old.
In with the younger and new.

I think we all had a little trouble getting up for this MIN game. The DET game was such a letdown, then to have a home game against a team with a bad record sandwiched in between the Saints game...it was a classic trap game setup. And there was nothing but downside to last week's game. We couldn't afford to drop it, but it was expected we'd pick it up and that the real challenge would be the following week playing a very good team on the road going into our bye.

I know I'm a lot more enthusiastic about the Saints game than I was last weekend, anyway.

probably tired of looking like a fool for being enthusiastic to only have the team choke it away at the end

I WANT my PBP announcer to be homerish. I want him to be truly excited about TD's and huge game changing plays. If all I have is the radio call on game day, I wanna feel the emotion and passion of the game. BS doesn't always deliver, and I just really noticed this last week. And not getting excited because he's afraid they'll choke? IDK about that....

Brad has his money and is looking forward to retirement. I don't blame him.

Christie scales is one of the best sideline reporters in the business. Very informative.
If come to enjoy listening to babes analysis more than I use to.
Brad sham is the voice of the cowboys.
I think he's grown weary of the Jerry hype over the years.
All in all, they make for a good listen
