i realize we're now sporting a 3-4 against a usual 4+ o-line blocking scheme, but has anyone else noticed the inability of our down lineman to penatrate in pass situationand and create an smidgen of QB pressure w/o the support of a blitz/stunt scheme?
i know it's still early to judge and/or make conclusions but i am concerned in that we seem to run into the many of the same situations now as we did last year where QBs have all day to pick apart our backfield.
don't get me wrong.....i acknolegde we made huge strides this off season in aquiring several d-fense additions/upgrades however, way too many times i'm still left scratching my head at the outcome of various situations. our new/improved roster and d-fense scheme, on paper and in theory, seems tremendous. so far taking the blitz risk, good or bad, is the only way we've been able to penatrate and pressure.
