probably one of the most selfless QB's ever. the guy could have had huge stats if the offense would have been designed around him but he sacrificed for the sake of winning. not just his stats but his body. Troy never even blinked at the on coming rush. never seen anyone stand so tall in the pocket and deliver a pass like him knowing he was about to get plastered. i dont think people appreciate how good this guy was.

Absolutely! The only stat he cared about was championships!! When a guy like Aikman says, anything less than a Super Bowl title is a failed season. You listen!

So I heard McNabb auditioned, but didn't get the part.

What makes more mess when you send it back up? Chunky soup. Or pizza?

Why do people have to embellish to such a huge scale when speaking of the HOF players from our past? We have players in this day and age who get such little admiration and deserve it just as much.

Rings or no rings.

I'll never forget the time Troy got delayed in the locker room by the press after a win and Jimmy told the bus driver to leave without him.

They said that is wasn't uncommon for them to go all practice and the ball never hit the ground when he was at QB.

No doubt he could have had way better stats.

But I don't know too many good or great QBs that would trade SB rings for stats. Troy was not unusual in that..imo.

Didn't Aikman set the all time record for accuracy at the NFL QB competition that was never broken?

Just because we are exalting Aikman's accomplishments doesn't mean we are not (at least I'm not) 100 percent in awe of what Romo is bringing to the table. They are not mutually exclusive, in my mind. But one should always appreciate and acknowledge the past.
