Anyone see the Aikman Papa John's commercial?

So I heard McNabb auditioned, but didn't get the part.

That's because Papa Johns only uses QB's who've won championships. Showing up to audition was probably as far as McNabb got.

I heard he tried out but could not stand the pressure and vomited up the pizza when he had to say his lines.

For some reason, the one play that has always stuck in my mind was, I believe in his rookie year against the Cardinals, about an 80 yd perfectly thrown bomb that he never saw because he got the crown of a helmet directly to his chin right as he was releasing the pass. I think he threw for about 380 in that game, which was a huge number for that era.

yep it sent that game into overtime. he was out cold

Yes I too remember that game where he hit James Dixon for that long TD pass as he was getting hit in which he was unconscious and blood coming out of his ear and that game showed me just how good Aikman would become and he did throw for a then NFL rookie record 379 yds passing and Dixon had over 200 yds recieving as well.

I think he needed quite a few stitches to close the cut, as well. Can you imagine the reaction to a hit like that today?

Thank you...it was James Dixon! I couldn't remember who the pass was thrown to.

I'll never forget the time Troy got delayed in the locker room by the press after a win and Jimmy told the bus driver to leave without him.

Ummm...dude...that just wasn't a game - that was Troy's first Super Bowl in Pasadena and yes, Jimmy left without him. After all, Heinekens were waiting at the team part back at the hotel.

Irvin was late for a plane to a game and Jimmy made the plane take ff without him.

That commercial along is one of my favorite papa john commercials.

Right next to rappin jerry.

I like the commercial so much because the triplets and even more specifically troy never get the props they deserve in the all time great convos. IMO.

And him rocking all those rings is a giant middle finger to all the cowboy haters out there.

As Ive always thought you stick the 90's cowboy dynasty in Pissburgh or ny or just about anywhere else and half that roster is in the hall.

Why do people have to embellish to such a huge scale when speaking of the HOF players from our past? We have players in this day and age who get such little admiration and deserve it just as much.

Rings or no rings.

Says Aikman in the title no?

could it be 3 SB and 3 NFCC rings, the last shot showed a ring on his thumb.

JR... I was searching on the inter webs... People comments.

They said only the Super Bowl loser gets AFC/NFC rings.
They said one ring was HOF ring
Others said one could be from college where he won as a non starter? Or MVP rings?

SB 6 and 12 and many more. Thank you Mr. Landry.

Whoah, some Cowboy fans don't know team history. There was a successful era unique to the league in the 60s, 70s, and early 80s under Landry. If you're a younger fan who doesn't remember it, read up on it and watch Youtube videos. Landry's teams did more than win. They revolutionized the game.
