I dont think the problem is his asking price, I think the problem is he sucks.

:laugh1:
Actually that isn't very funny, it's sad.

My crystal ball is cloudy but I see him out of football and preaching full time in two years.
He isn't that great speaking.

Nobody wants garbage on their team... Hopefully he just decides to retire. This guy was a bust

Teams could also be concerned about his arm. Two breaks in one year on the same arm doesn't bode to well.

His price has to come way down. He simply isn't a top talent, and nobody is going to give him a big contract. He's going to have to settle for a 1-2 years deal for a couple of million if he's lucky.

Shocking that no one has signed Roy yet, what with the stats & KC Joyner showing how great a player he still is.
I assume the other GM's didn't read the Roy Mythbuster thread either which busted the myths that Roy sucks and can't cover. It was pretty detailed and used stats and such to prove that Roy was a great player despite what was actually seen on the field of play. Had they read it, Roy would be on someones roster by now.

I doubt the years really are the issue. Roy knows as well as anyone that contract length is BS. If he wants a 4 year deal what that REALLY means that he's asking for a considerable signing bonus. He wants a guaranteed payday rather than a show me deal.

Either that or he's waiting until all the voluntary workouts are over.

Yes, if he was as great as certain people on this board told us he was, he would of been signed before you could say "horse collar".

I was thinking of starting this thread yesterday because I was wondering what is going on with him. I knew some would come up with reasons, other than the reality that he just isn't anything more than average anymore, for him not being signed.

"Top 5 safety" and he has languished as a FA for how long now?

Its a shame, our defense these past 2-3 years with the Roy Williams we used to see - would've been fun to watch. My man used to fly around the field, making plays, bringing the thunder over the middle - then all of a sudden, he sucked.

I still don't get it. I'm sure Woody leavinig had a lot to do with it, but he went from guys having to find him at the l.o.s. every play - to teams trying to isolate him and expose him every opportunity they could get.

Kelly Rowland broke his heart and he was never the same.

Jessica Simpson is working her magic with Tony Romo as we speak......
