Just when I think ESPN couldn't possibly be more ridiculous, I see their list of players they say will definitely NOT make the trip to Canton.

Most of the guys on the list are too young to know for sure, but I mean damn, you can kinda speculate, even on the youngest ones. Portis is on the list, and he's on pace to finish top 1-3 for yards and tds barring injury. Romo is also on the list. He's one I think it's still too early to tell, but to say at this point he definitely will not make it is completely idiotic.

*edit*They also declare Isaac Bruce, and Steve Smith from the Panthers "on the bubble."

Can't imagine there's any new compelling evidence to confirm the idiocy of ESPN...As far as I'm concerned, that's been well established a lonnnnng time ago :espn:

That's dated August 2, 2007. Have you been saving that?

Merriman a lock? I'd wait to see if he can come back from his injuries steroid free first.

This article is old but that also makes it even more stupid with some of the names because they said Romo wouldn't make it, for sure, based off of him starting all of half a season at that point.

ESPN is, was, and always will be a joke.

Really? Good thing you told me, I couldn't see that for myself. In fact, I'm completely illiterate, and I'm not even typing this

No, I was just pointing out how ******** and inaccurate ESPN is. The date of the article doesn't change that.

Yes, yours are. Show me where I said the article was new.

You guys need to calm down and read what I wrote. I never said it was new. The whole point was to show what a ridiculous joke ESPN is. The date of the article is irrelevant, because their list is not any less of a joke as a result.

LMAO, if you base this on Romo's stats he would be a sure entry. he's had as good a start statistically as any QB in NFL history. ESPN can stick it where the sun don't shine!

That fact that it's from 2007 makes it even more of a joke.\

They have Eli as not going and he won a superbowl promptly right after that by defeating an undefeated team and was the MVP.

They have Merriman as going and he promptly tears up his knee and misses the next season.

Morons. This is why you don't put people in or out till their career is near it's end or over.

It's kind of a twisted back handed compliment. Why even recognize these people unless they had the potential?

As if you guys needed any more proof that the British monarchy was a complete joke and a tyrant, I just came across this pamphlet by Thomas Paine, and I am mad as hell!

I don't see any shoe-ins on that list. Eli? Ben? Romo? Portis? As of today, none of them are HoF players. Of Romo plays like he has for the next 10 years, he will be a HoF player, but thats a long way off.
