Anyone think Vandy's problems today was simply nerves about the opponent?

..lack of time with the holder.

Now that Romo is the starter, their practice time working togther has to be suffering.

If I was BP, I'd just send Vandy, the holder and the snapper to Texas Stadium every day and not even bother coming to practice. This is where having Romo be the holder sort of is a problem.

The QB can't be holding at Texas Stadium when he needs to be running the offense in practice.

Perhaps they should consider a new holder for Vandy..?

Maybe the change would be better all the way around now that Romo is the starter..?

Vanderslice clearly has some sort of kicking mechanics problem, if the Cowboys get a holding penalty and have to re-kick a XPAT from 30 yards he would probably miss that to the right to. He never does anything different to change it.

How does Jerry not want Adam V. I don't know. Jerry always screws up no-brainer decisions.

Idiot owner = idiot kicker:bang2:

I hear and read all this talk about cutting him immediately and so forth; no one seems to be even considering that he might have simply been a bit psyched out about facing the Colts. I say the guy will be fine for the rest of the season, and miss one or two more kicks at the most, as crazy as that sounds tonight.

When you are pushing things right it is clear that he has confidence problems. He is trying to guide the ball instead of kicking through it. Seems to be trying to be too cool like it is no big deal, and then he pushes another one right. Heck, had the extra points been from 30 he would have missed them. I would rather see a kicker duck hook one any day than push a kick. Tells me he is trying to beg the kick in there like a pitcher that all of a sudden can't find the strike zone. Very fortunate with all the GREAT field position we blew in the first half that we came away with a W. It had to be a bummer going in to the locker room after you just made a play to get you on the board, and the kicker pushes another one!

I think he still is affected by that miss last year vs. the Steelers in the playoffs. He hasn't been right since. Also, maybe the hamstring problem is still lingering and causing him to be off a bit? Either way, we are stuck with him for the rest of the year so hopefully he will improve.
