So, the first business trip with the new job has me going to Budapest in Hungary. Anyone ever made this trip? I've never left the US other than Mexico. A little anxiety to be honest.

Yes but I was only there for a day tour from Vienna, went to Heroe’s Square and Matthias Church. The parliament building is nice, didn’t go inside. They have a 1 or 2 hour day cruise on the Danube, I missed the time slot couldn’t wait for the next boat.

No need for anxiety. Enjoy your trip.

That city reminds me of the old saying:

Schön und knitterfest,
sind all die Frauen in Budapest...

You do the translation if you're interested. With that being said, Budapest is like many other European cities. But since it's their capital enough people will speak English so you'll find your way around.

Yes. I'm working at a company that makes digital pinball tables. I've already designed my first table that will come out sometime in 2025. Right now, I'm the Producer on 7 pinball tables that were already in the works before I started.
Interesting, what exactly is a pinball table? Just the usual pinball machine?

For several years, I used to travel through Budapest every month for work. I would often stay a few days and tour the city and local surroundings.

I love Budapest... friendly people, great history, wonderful food. Make sure you visit both sides of the Danube and, if you have time, take a river cruise.

"Table" is generally the term used for digital pinball. These look like full size pinball machines but instead of a playfield with glass over it, there is a 4K screen. Once you get it, there are over 200 pinball tables you can play.

So something real that people can play like a traditional pinball machine.
