Anyone who still thinks Julius Jones is a) better than Barber and b) deserves to be the starting RB... please check yourself into the nearest clinic for detoxification and rehabilitation. And medicinal marijuana doesn't count- cuz QC will take it off your hands anyways.

Proceed with the namecalling and whatnot. I am ready.

Sincerely,

The Mgmt. :starspin

To be fair, the other Julius thread was only the 4th thread down from the top. You can't expect people to look THAT FAR down the threads on the first page can you?

The thing about JJ is that he is used primarily at the beginning of the games when the D is fresh and MB3 comes in on 3rd downs and towards the end of the game when the Defense is not as fresh.

I'm not taking anything away from Barber but if the roles were reveresed I think the results would be as well.

Everything is game to game with us fans, a person plays bad today he's the devil, however if he plays well next week he's the Saint. If we look at Jujo's performance this whole year thus far I've been pleased with him.

This is true, I also beleive BP has screwed with JJ instinctive running so much that he tries to find the hole instead of running to daylight and he is trying to hit the long one since he never sees carries inside the 20.

Its so hard to say one is better than the other because of how different they are. JJ is a big play threat, while MBIII is an in your face back. MBIII has probably had the better year, but I'm not sold that he is a better every down back.

I think they both should play alot but I just like to see Barber start once and have Jujo be the pinch hitter just to see what happens.

If it is true that Barber gets his yards because JuJo softens up the defense, I think reversing the order of who plays first would yield better result since Barber can soften the defenses better with his hard running and JuJo can do more damage with his speed to a tired defense.

I was at the game tonight and Julius Jones didn't run with any kind of power unlike MBIII who basically punished people all night long! Like I've stated before I was a Jones supporter before and even now but I think Dallas will strongly consider drafting a RB soon, but will it be in the 2007 draft?

There is a reason why Parcells is having Julius start, the reason why Barber looks so good is because barber picks up the crumbs or in other words when the defense is worn out. Even Parcells even said that in the press conference but still people tend to argue. Hmm evidently Mgmt thinks he knows more than Parcells about football, looks like he needs to go to the clinic

As long as we have some type of running game I am happy.

If we can control the clock and have a 4 YPC I wouldnt mind who runs the ball.

Geez....give it a rest. JJ is our starter and he should be.

I guess T-Ham should have started over Emmitt as well. I remember quite well that we had some crazy's calling for that as well.

JJ is no Emmitt and Barber is clearly better than T-Ham, but give me a break on this issue.

I like the way that Barber runs, but I am also sick of the way that the o-line is run-blocking. The o-line seems to do a better job when they get closer to the goal line like all o-lines do.

Check out the starting lineup on Christmas day. I'll let you in on a secret.....Julius Jones will be the starting half back.

They are two different players, barber won't run a a draw 77 yards for a touchdown or rush for 189 and 194 yards against teams but he will blast for seven yards on 3rd and short and he will cover the distance at second and goal from the 12.

For us, it is the 16th week of the season. If it were the 6th week of the season, there is a chance that Parcells would make the switch. Leave it alone.

People vaunt the 7.3 YPC Barber had tonight. Maybe it is because he was so well rested after not playing last week when Jones averaged almost 12 YPC. In case you forgot Barber ended with -1 yards.

Who does better is all dependent upon when the O-Line decieds to block. If they block better for Jones, he will get more yards. If they block better for Barber, he will get more yards. Tonight they blocked better for Barber. Jones was a lucky trip from busting another run for 50+ TD.

A lack of a running game has cost dallas no games with the exception of New Orleans in which Julius was running wild until Dallas inexplicably abandoned the attack.

The duo are there for good reason.
