Anything Make You Optimistic for 2025?

Currently I don’t see anything to be optimistic about. I feel even more discouraged now than I felt at this time last year. The organization hasn’t done anything so far to bring some hope and add some excitement. We’ve had a very uninspiring HC hire and added some jags in free agency.
In the same boat here. It's company policy not to seriously participate in free agency or savvy trades. But, with each draft comes a glimmer of hope that gold will be struck, but I won't be "optimistic" about anything until Dak's successor is procured. Hoping we draft that guy in 2025.

We’re not finding Dak’s successor in this draft. This is a weak QB draft and we’re not about to use our top pick on a QB. We have far too many holes to fill and need a backup QB. If we don’t nail this draft we could be headed for another losing season

I like some of the young players on our team, and I want to see if they improve.

But optimism as far as winning games? With our coach, QB, and defense, anything over .500 looks out of the question. We're basically in a "Campo years" holding pattern until Dak and Schotty leave, or at least until Dak stops taking up 18% of the cap in return for Cooper Rush level play.

2021-23 was our window to win, and really make noise in the NFC. 2024 was when that window closed.

I don't think we're as bad as those "Campo years". I believe we're slightly better, but then again, that's not saying much!! LOL

I am optimistic about what the new coaching staff can, and what they will do. Well, more excited to see what changes may occur over being optimistic.

I liked some of the moves they made, though none of them make the team that much better or worse on paper. But it does indicate some change, that we will not know until we see it on the field.

The draft will be more of a telling sign if any optimistic or pessimistic views will be changed.
Most fans will probably stay within their opinions though, as they want to see results. Not we are talented (though on paper) quips from the FO.
Talk is cheap, and some say so is Jerry.

Still have no clue why people think we are "obviously rebuilding". Signing Dak to a stupid ridiculous contract? Signing JAGS to one year deals? Saving cap space to beef up Cap Boy's inheritance?
The only thing obvious is Jerry has no plan, and no concern about winning.
Cap space has nothing to do with any inheritance.

Too many unknowns to feel optimistic right now. I do like some of the staff picks and I'm hopeful this results in a more physical, run first and stop the run team. Schotty needs to make good on this promise. I begrudgingly accept the grossly overpaid Dak Prescott needs to be the NFL's best bus driver and nothing more. Hoping for a trade down with Denver to #20 and pick up an extra second.

I see so much negativity around here. Fans are discouraged, etcetera l, etcetera.

So here's my challenge. First, without mentioning anything about Jerry Jones, can you talk about anything you may be optimistic about? For me, I see an obvious rebuild taking place. Lots of new, younger faces coming. And then there's the draft position. It's not too bae at #12.

Overshown, even though he's injured, gives me a level of optimism because when I look at him on film, he looks like a man amongst boys even in the NFL. If he can stay healthy, I sense he may even be a super star level player. That batted pass for a TD was just unreal football focus. The possibility of seeing him with Parsons for the foreseeable future gives me optimism.

I'm also optimistic because we do so well with UDFAs, which gives us a slight edge there personnel wise.

The OL was developing last year and did surprisingly well.

I like that we brought back Dante Fowler. And added a player like Sanburn. I even like Jones as a depth player.

New coaches should be interesting to see as well.

What aspects of the 2025 Cowboys are you optimistic about?
You are truly the best turd polisher at CZ. How's that for optimism? :)

Interested to see what Riley can do with the oline. Especially run blocking.
I was not a fan of Solari at all and thought his incompetence played a big role in team failure.
But then again, this same opinion applied to McFraud and Schottenheimer too.

So, I'm not expecting much, if any overall improvement, lol

That's my positive.

I guess some of you missed the "without mentioning Jerry" part.

Every other thread has that, too....
