toddarcher: Akwasi Owusu-Ansah gets look at WR

Interesting b/c of his speed, but generally I'm not a fan of these 'projects'

So it begins. First you change positions. Then you change teams. Then you look for a 9-5 job.

Conversion projects at this stage are almost a 99% fail rate. Love his athleticism but I think playing against weak competition in college really hurt his ability to transition to the pro game.

so your telling me there's a chance?

I believe he's only playing WR for practice purposes and there is no intention of suiting him on Monday to actually play.

But yeah, I could see a 9-5 gig in his near future. Here's an early "Welcome to the club" AOA!

I think they mean he finally saw a real receiver with Dez back at practice

Lol, what?

I was told he was having a fantastic training camp, and incessantly reminded about a ball he broke in front of during a non-tackling scrimmage against the Chargers.

I believe it's only for the scout team because they need fast players like the pigskins have

That was the impression I got when reading it too.

Remember when everyone was crowning AOA and saying he was going to be the answer for us at safety?

Boy times change so fast.

He has the body and probably the abilty to pull it off-- all other things being equal. Though unless he's found within himself some hunger and discovered he loves to play football more than anything else, the odds of this panning out are hardly favorable.

When watching him play he seems to be a "slow" fast guy. Just no instincts, athletic ability through the roof.

I am going to go out and officially say that Jason Garrett is a football mastermind. Romo loves throwing the ball at safeties and corners. :D

Nice. :laugh2:

Seriously though, this is probably just for practice and on the scout team. I wouldn't read much into this. Next season is his make or break year AOA, not this one in my opinion....seeing as he missed alot of time, from a small school, etc.
