AP - Come home

If we spend big money on a 30 year old running back I will take back every kind word I've had for the recent change in philosophy in Dallas.

Can that 30 year old running back immediately help this team's championship aspirations?

I would too. Don't do this unless AP is willing to play for Dallas for a small portion of what Murray can get on the open market. Which, I believe is true.

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer had a wide-ranging discussion withMike Florio on “Pro Football Talk” radio on NBC Radio recently, and Zimmer once again made it clear that while there might be obstacles, he would like to have Adrian Peterson on his team next year.

Zimmer was asked what he would do if Peterson met with him and said he felt like he should go elsewhere.

“I would respect Adrian’s decision,” Zimmer told Florio. “I’ll always be honest with him and up front, but I’m going to try to explain to him the reasons why I would like for him to be here. But it has to be a two-way street, and he has to get his life taken care of. But we’ll sit down and talk, and I’m a pretty good recruiter, too.”""

I certainly think Peterson is an upgrade over Randle and Dunbar. But if he gets a big money contract when the very obvious issues on the defensive line exist I'll be very disappointed in the team given the limited resources to fix the defense that exist.
