I hope you're not one of those guys clamoring for DeSean Jackson then.Yakuza Rich;1997336 said:Problem is that he was only about 170 pounds when he ran track IIRC. That's about the weight that most track sprinters get around. He can't play at that low of a weight in the NFL and he would lose speed if he gained weight.
Then you have a guy that's never really been hit before, don't know if he can catch, or if he can run routes and fight off jams.
I can see working him out, but I just wouldn't get my hopes up.
It's kind of like watching collegiate basketball players flunk out with teams thinking they can make the NFL because of Antonio Gates. What they don't realize is that Gates was an all state football player in Michigan, so he had quality football experience.

He had too much testerone in his sample on the last test. His previous test was for amphetamines which was as a result of medication that he had been taking since childhood.David276;1997428 said:hell the dude is just trying to make some money. he tested positive for "pro hormones" or was it hgh and steriods

This was covered at length yesterday. I call for a *merge...Muhast;1998291 said:He's been working out and training with Georgia Tech players. Some of the DB's of GT were quoted in the AJC as saying Gatlin has very good hands and said his speed is unreal.
He said he's been running 4.2 40's consistently and could run even faster but has a hamstring that has been bothering him. He has world class speed. I wouldn't mind signing him even if it's just to take a look in Training camp. We sign 20 guys or so anyways each year knowing they have slim to none odds of making our team. Definitely wouldnt mind at least looking at him as a WR/KR.
