I hate losing, I made a living out of winning and I don't know how to do it any differently. I couldn't sleep for a couple of days if I lost a game, made me sick!! That said, I understand the Tank thinking, I don't agree with it, but I get it. I'm not a bigger or better fan than any of you, just venting my frustrations!!! Didn't mean to question anyone's fanhood....Salud to all of you, even that pip squeak Pappy!!! Go Cowboys!!!

It’s all good dude. I know you’re a stand up guy. We can all disagree on some stuff.

It's just at this point these games are as important as preseason games.

In my eyes, the goal of the season should be to get into the playoffs to make a run for the Superbowl.

That's gone now.

Get depth players more play time so they can get more experience for next season when playoffs chances will be renewed.

You can and will apologize to me.

Us Dakistanis need to stick together
Aye man....I enjoy when they win........and after losses......I get this little tingling feeling of enjoyment as well lol. I've mastered this position as a fan to where I can no longer get upset by these losses lol....it took me forever to get here this season.....I'm finally here.

Great post. Every fan is different. Some may be ok with suffering a loss. The ends justify the means. It can turn out better for us all. I just can't sit there and hope they lose. My hope is they win out. But I have nothing against the tankers. They're probably right in the long run.

That's big of you. I hope you don't still think I'm a "pendejo".

True Cowboy fans what's best for the team. As far as this year, I would still like to see Reggie (#41) and Anae play and I would not like to see Nolan anywhere period. Both Gallimore and Diggs (I know he is injured) have gotten valuable experience. But yea, I am not rooting for any more wins this year.

I really think its two fold. The folks that want to tank only want to make the teams roster more talented. They are not thinking too much about playing incentives, bonus or keeping a starting job. No team with real players and coaches will just lay down. Is tank thinking a little selfish? Yes, but, it has been 25 years and the average fan just wants to have the warm a fuzzy again.

If you are a fan in the moment, tanking doesn't cross your mind.

I am not a tanker because that means losing on purpose and actually if they lose to these next 3 teams, there is 0 effect on the playoffs which is usually a concern, but I do hope they lose these next 3 games and I guess rooting for a loss isn't much different than tanking.

I will say this, the management of this team shouldn't cause any tanker to get slammed.

The worst part of this team and being a Cowboys fan is that management doesn't really realize how bad they are at building a team and that includes coaching. To think the light is suddenly come on is more than wishful thinking. These people need all the help they can get and that means earlier picks.

I do not think the tankers arrived at their conclusions easily or that it sat very well with them either. It's like having a family member need to hit rock bottom to wake up, wishing for that is something different.

Maybe we could have some fun with all these categories...like “tankers”....
  • “Stankers”- those who not only want the Cowboys to lose, but to stink up the joint while doing it.
  • “Drankers”- those of us who can’t take what we’re seeing from our favorite team and choose to handle it with tequila shots!
  • “Jonesers”- those who know in their heart if they owned this team, they too are just as qualified as the Jones boys to run this organization.
:lmao:
