Apology Thread

There's a lot of idiots in the game thread that need to hand in their fan cards. They were very stupid and pathetic.

Happens all the time though.

Like 30yardslant.....lmao....but he's never happy. Miserable ppl

We got some fans on this board that bail on their team and coaches

I'm more than happy to apologize to Roy W....not ready to do the same for Wade or JG for that matter.

Some people call blind faith and endless optimism even in the face of obvious futility quality traits in a fan. I do not.

This team won a game. One game. Was it a good win? Yes. Does it absolve the team and coaches of two abortions to start the year and three previous years of failures that mirror this season's? Some fans say yes.

Whatever. We just spanked a team that was supposed to blow us out and i'm gonna savor it and go through the next 2 weeks excited about this team. Screw acting all "it's only one game, i'm smart and gonna remain skeptical" bs. Just enjoy it.

Who said not to enjoy it?

I'm more long-range in my perspective. I don't get too up in victory and too down in defeat. I look for trends and patterns, because they are more long-range predictors.

So while I'm pleased with the win, I still can't forget that we have established deep-seated patterns that concern me about this organization.

That being said, great win.

It must suck to never be able to simply enjoy something good without finding something to whine about.

Those who aren't absolute pessimists would say the points we've been expecting finally matched the yards we've been putting up.

Some people believe in potential, other's believe...I don't really care what they believe, they're like a fart in an elevator.

I have no problem enjoying the win. It was nice.

My issue is that we now get to listen to two full weeks of mostly undeserved praise about how Dallas is back and this will be like '93 and we will march onto the SB....

Nobody is willing to acknowledge that, without the terrible penalties and mistakes that we always have, we would have hung 40+ on Houston as poorly as they played. It didnt matter today, but it does when teams show up to play as we saw last week.

If we were as disciplined as the average NFL team, we'd be 3-0. No question.

Dallas still takes way too many penalties, I thought I counted 12 or 13 today, and did anyone catch the stat during the game, that since 2007, Dallas is third in penalties in the league with 357!!! I figure the Raiders were number one, but who's number two on that list..

Roy had an amazing game!! So happy for my Cowboys!! I never gave up on them!!! :star:

Cowboys D was awesome too!!!

Is the right attitude. :star:

We also had 8 penalties, another TD taken away by a penalty/mental lapse, etc.

We did the same things today that cost us the first two games. The difference was we finally played a game where the other team didnt take advantage of our errors and left their secondary on the bus.

Other than maybe RW (because he's been better all season thus far) nobody owes anybody an apology

As negative as I am, even I thought Dallas would win this game simply because talented teams usually win "must win" type games like this early in the season. Wade's job was on the line, as was any hope of a successful season. Winning this ONE game, especially with as many penalties as we had, just isnt that impressive to me.

Wade should be sending the Texans' secondary a christmas card for saving his arse

The TD taken away was from DB being pushed OB and then being the first to touch the ball when it was thrown...nice try.

We played like we should play every week. Wade saved his job and probably assured us of heart break later in the season. This season will end in a blowout by a team that is more disciplined and motivated than this team. Wade's locker room address to the team did not give me a lot of hope for the season.

Rams up 14-0 on Washington.....how bad is that week one loss looking now...

Commanders are a different team when they play us.

You know what I'm gonna say about all this????

We went into a hostile environment where the crowd was screaming at Playoff decibels. We played good football. Maintained our composure. We took their punches, had some great defense inside the red zone. We got our offense on track.

Now if we can get Wade's daughter on the sidelines in a bikini, my day will be perfect.

Nobody needs to apologize, more so people need to recognize.

The only thing worse than blind optimism, is week after week of pessimism. Just like the blind optimistic fan often can not see the reality of the situation sometimes so that at the end of the day he can beat his chest and say I told you so when everyone and all the experts considered us a dud... the pessimistic fan sometimes can't take a win for what it is and must berate the team, and bring "reality" to the fanbase so that at the end of the day he can beat his chest and say I told you so when the team loses..

The true fan who is neither optimistic or pessimistic and just enjoys the game and wants the best for his team so at the end of the day he can beat his chest and say he rode and died with this team through the good and the bad, the wins and the losses, just wants both parties to shut the hell up.

We all get riled up after wins and bad losses, but all the talking just for "Told You so" points has gotten old, and at this stage of the season most of us just want to see the season play out a little before people hype or break this team down.
