Apology Thread

Jenkins deserves an apology too. Seems anytime he has a slightly off game everybody starts jumping on his back like he isn't by far the best player in that secondary. I will apologize once we get over .500 to the rest of those inconsistent people.

Nobody is willing to acknowledge that, without the terrible penalties and mistakes that we always have, we would have hung 40+ on Houston as poorly as they played.

How much of the poor play of Houston has to do with the fact that the D never let a play go by where they weren't in Schaub's face or taking down the runner behind the LoS?

4 sacks, 2 INTs, 1 FF, and 100 fewer net yards than their average isn't an off day, it's a team getting to them.

Apologize for what? Did I apologize after predicting wins over the Bears and Skins but we didn't? Hell no. Then don't expect the opposite to happen.

The defense has never been the problem

Penalties, mental lapses, offensive playcalling and O-Line play are the issues

We had a lot of penalties, mental lapses and poor playcalling (early on) in this game

Good win, but it's not the magical elixir that this board will make it out to be.

Before today the defense never created turnovers. Today they did and we scored because of it.

You know my opinion on play-calling. We blocked much better today in the run game than before.

I ditto this. I'm happy about a win...particularly in the situation we were in, but a lot of the glaring deficiencies of this team are still evident. Unfortunately, our coaching staff seems like the type to hang their hats on a win and celebrate rather than go out and continue to stress leadership and perfection.
