No, what I'm basically saying is that your way of thinking is why everyone thinks what you say is "weird." You made the comment that when you say things, people think you weird. If you go against facts and 98% of opinion, ALL THE TIME, you put yourself in that category.
.
That was enough so i stopped reading be clearly you arent reading miy posts and just talking out your rear end here. Because ive debated both sides of things. There is plenty i think can be upgraded. But i listen to what coaches say, and what media at VR say. If you do that you get a pretty good idea of what the team thinks and wants to do. And what they basically say is they are developing from within and want to go forward with these players. So why am i going to wreck my brain when i can see what direction theyre going? Im a fan so i just accept it wether i like it or not and root for my team. Plain and simple.

We may not be the most talented team but this team could have been a playoff team past 3 years if it had a HC that didn't have major brain farts that lost us few games each season.

We are not in the best position talent wise but we are also not as bad as people are making us out to be.

We just need few key players (Romo, Lee, Murray, Ware) to remain healthy for the full season. Most of the the teams are in the same boat.

I agree. The injuries this team has been dealing with are ridicules. For starter I hope they review their off season program in getting guys ready and or bring in a dietitian if that will help but what they are doing now is not working

Think that training in oxnard is part of the problem. You cant go from 65-70 degrees weather to over 100 the way they do and not expect injuries. They have that state of the art practice facility at VR. Why do they need to go anywhere? This is a Jerry flaw

I don't know, I would like to see the Cowboys back in Texas for training camp but then well before Jerry Dallas held camp Thousands Oaks Ca. I think it is more than just that

He's right. Things look grim for massive improvement this offseason. Though losing Spencer isn't really a factor since he gave us nothing last season.

Exactly. If you have nothing and nothing goes away what do you have? Still nothing.

It most likely is more to it then that but going from one climate to another is a factor IMO. Broaddus and Mickey brought up something that actually irked me. Before games while opposing teams are taking warmups serious going thru their drills. Cowboy players and coaches are out there socializing, earphnes on in packs doing their own thing. Some warming up like they should but the majority are dogging it.

Well what ever it is you can't have that many starter go down with hamstring, that injury alone cost the Cowboys key players. Some injuries there is little you can do to prevent but others there has to be a better way.

Well, we had Hatcher, and then he went away. So...less than nothing? Not really, but we're more likely to go backwards before we go forwards here.

I agree. I was referring to Spencer.

I dont see why there cant be massive improvement if this team can by some miracle just stay healthy. Add a few peices in the draft. You have to remember this was a playoff contending team with a bunch of street guys on defense. They were 1 drive from being in the playoffs. IMO you improve the DL play and thats a massive improvement for the defense, but you get that pressure you didnt last yr, and you have more turnovers that we saw at the begining of the yr. Dallas was one of the top defenses in turnovers for the first half of the season.

A more aggressive offensive scheme added with some man defense will do wonders for this team aswell.

Just as delusional as Jerry.....or maybe just as drunk. Flip a coin

I mean I agree to some extent with your comparison to the other 2 marketing giants of professional sports. It's just that at least those 2 have enjoyed "some" post season success in recent history whereas the Boys have been wallowing for close to 2 decades now.

Point was simply sign of struggle is a big news story for storied franchise be it minor or large.

San Fran is sitting pretty right now but that team was ghastly bad for a good long time.
From 2003-2010 they won 7,2,4,7,5,7,8,6 games per year....
Fans didn't get together and have a Jim Jones Koolaid party.
ESPN just ignored them for a while.

Since 2003 the Cowboys have been to the playoff 4 times.
That's STILL one more than the 49ers who have obviously been elite the last two years.
Dallas has won 1 playoff game in that time.
That's certainly a fair criticism.
But they have been 15 games OVER .500 since then (not counting playoff failures).
Most franchise don't complain about that.
Would it be nice if they broke through and won something in the playoffs?
Good grief, yes.
But this has not been some moribund Clippers type franchise.

We did experience that for 3 years under Jerry, Lacewell and Campo.
But since it has been markedly better.
And having that as a reference allows me some perspective on what crap really is.

It's ok to go against the grain, and have your own way of thinking. But when it's completely opposite ALL the time from what most are saying, you have to admit, your arguing for the sake of arguing.

Now to your point this time. Do I think Romo and a healthy defense gets us into the playoffs? Hard to say. That's a lot of 'ifs"... Our defense is never healthy. Sean Lee, our supposed defensive leader, hasn't played in important games since high school. He's hurt every year during crunch time. So don't count on him to be healthy at the end of any year. Ware is past his prime and will be hurt every year from now on. Who knows if Spencer will play again on this team. Other than Hatcher, Carr and Orlando, there's nobody else who matters. Everyone of our defensive starters who were hurt, are no better than the backups.

Kyle Orton played as well as most would have played. Tony hasn't proved EVER, that he would take us any further in the playoffs. He's played with some good defenses. Oh, but then it was the lack of WR's, or OL, or RB's. So I guess I just answered the question. NO, I don't think we would have got into the playoffs with Tony or our healthy defense. Even if we did, we were gonna get smoked by whomever we played. Coaching and talent would have prevented us from doing anything. Just as it will this year most likely....We need 7-8 new starters on defense to be a real contender. With the money we have available, and the way we draft, we will go into next season upgrading only 2 perhaps 3 of those positions.

If you are going to lecture someone on going against common sense and facts it helps not to post inane drivel.
Dallas lost a game by 2 points that would have put them in the playoffs last year and were missing a franchise QB, an elite MLB and a number of other parts.
If you don't think the sum total of those players is >3 points you might be truly "weird".

Some posters that get to games early have disputed that report.

Ive been to games vs the chargers raider and niners in the past couple yrs in cali. and it has been the case. We actually saw it on national tv vs the bears this yr too. all thru the pregame we saw bears players doing the warmup thing, and the cowboys were all by the heaters. there was some warming up but most were at the heaters

It appears you have diagnosed the "negative secret sauce". Well done.
